Okay, what's the international standard for pricing an operating system bundled with a PC? How can MS's price be considered "high"? Are they comparing it to Apple's bunlding of their OS software with their PC?
Didn't the nazis use that in the Me.163 with another propellant? IIRC, most of their planes blew up by themselves, than from enemy gunfire.,
I'm not sure which kind of torpedo the Kursk was packing but I heard that the Russians were using high test hydrogen peroxide in some of their torpedoes. Something the rest of the world abandoned years and years ago 'cause its just nasty...
That's the one thing that annoyed me with searches on deja.com.
It always assumed you wanted to buy something, so you could do searches and get a response on "Click here for books on KILLING YOUR PARENTS on Amazon.com!"
I remember accomplishing installing Windows 3.0 on a 10 meg hard drive on my old 286. Needless to say, I cut a LOT of corners.
I also remember seeing a Windows 3.0 knockoff in Extended Basic on the TI-994/A. Instead of a mouse, you used the joystick to load up different programs. Scary.
MS should jump in the fire, and make their own vesion of Gnutella/Napster, and make it easily available for download for windows users.
Let them attempt to get sued by RIAA and have MS's almightly legal team have at it. Get the big guns in. hate MS all you want for their legal teams and legalsese, but this time let them work for you! They could make up some fancy story on how it is no different than a user's transfer directory, but with added search features.
Max Headroom was doing ths for years. It made Simon Peller sound like he was going to release all those detained blanks, and instead of a Trojan horse, it was a Trojan sheep
I take it you have HBO? Several years ago when I had cable, they managed to scoop up all the bad straight-to-video movies, as well as duds featured on the list.
I kinda liked Runaway's robots, but the movie wasn't that interesting.
I remember watching Superfuzz hundreds of times when we first got HBO(not cable, JUST HBO for starters), as well as Midnight Madness, starring Michael J Fox.
I must have seen the boxcovers to ALL these movies at least a hundred times. Working at a video store, you can't avoid it.
That's whats great about MAME though. Over 1 thousand games. You get a chance to play arcade games that never were popular, or ones that made you run out of quarters before fully getting into the game.
Back in the early '90s I must have played every flight sim I could get my hands on. Falcon, Falcon 3(4?), Chuck yeager's combat sims, Heros of the 357th(insanely hard), etc.
I almost miss those games, but I realized I wasn't a good dogfighter.
Among the WORST of the flightsim games I played was Birds of Prey. Extremely dull, even with the selection of jets. The hardest? Jetfighter 2. In a dogfight the guy always was behind me, to the right, and slightly higher.
My ghod. I know the people in those pictures. The guy on the laptop on the ghetto microphones runs nerp.net. Talk about a small world. I never thought the Slashdot community would have the pleasure of seeing them all. Heh
I'm pretty good with Technic, but now with all this Mindstorms/C/Java stuff, that I am an antiquated Lego freak.
Ahh, I miss the days when you didn't have to know programming to make Lego killer robots. Now I just have to find a way to make a Technic automatic transmission.
It's somewhere on newgrounds' portal. You can serach for it.
You could always view the file in another app, like Quick View Plus. That program reads Word documents but doesn't access the Internet.

Need something to compare here.
- Monty Python and the Holy Grail script. Hell, that's been everywhere. Give 'em a good laugh.
- The still-passed-around FCC proposal on a modem tax.

I can't wait for their book to be released.
The Langley Research Centre's Research on Attention Deficit Disorder and Hey! Let's go ride our bikes!"
(okay, I copied it from a list of books you'll never see. Mod me down)
Can you burn ants with it....... in another continent?

sixty six satellites!
One by one, burned out of the atmosphere
Which satellite will be the sole survivor?
Stay tuned!
I thought that cube was one of those cd player clock radios that I keep seeing in Walmart.

How about porting MAME over to the devoted handheld units, like the Atari Lynx?
Something strange here. There's better resolution on these digital camera screens(and color) than on a typical PalmPilot, and they play games better.
Then again we have candy with artificial flavors, but Pledge with REAL lemon juice.
I can't believe there are THAT many posts about Midnight Madness and Superfuzz being played HOURLY on HBO's earlier days.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with those childhood horrors of cable TV.

They should find a way to have the webcam ON the train. Then you could get a perspective of the Lego minifgure conductor.

The most fun? Chuck Yeager's combat simulator.
Are you suggesting "regional encoded" Olympic events?
It almost sounds like the idea for the regional sidewalk.com sites(which weren't a big hit). I'd say go for it tho.

I noticed in the topic that Sony won't be able to keep them on the shelves if they put a Transmeta in blah blah blah.
Riiiight. I'm sure the millions of people who have heard of Linus, Linux, and the Transmeta will be buying it out of worship. Only time will tell.
I'll buy it if someone ports MAME and gets most of the pre-85 games to work with it. I'd be in retro heaven.
