Tests show that 802.11g devices mixed with 802.11b devices reduces the maximum speed from about 20Mbps to 10Mbps (this assuming that we want to have.11g and.11b devices connected to the same network) and.11b devices continue to operate their normal 2-5Mbps speeds.
Actually the filesize doesn't change when you crypt it unless the program stores some extra info to the package eg. decrypt key (when using public key crypto) but that is maximum of some kilobytes. Ofcourse after encryption the file should contain even amount of all byte values thus it's pretty random and therefore wont compress at this stage.
Well my Epson's ink cartridges don't have print head, but they still cost as much as those other cartridges.
Fortunately I got a laser printer for printing documents and only need inkjet for color images. I wonder if the price of good quality color laser printer will ever come down.
Maybe Nintendo will strike back and start to make GPRS gamemodules for GBA, that would be great. And I wouldn't be suprised if the next Gameboy would have some sort of phone technology, GSM or GPRS, inside.
Best option would be that Nokia would make small black boxes with the phone stuff in it and then you could use bluetooth hands-free-set for calling people, PDA for surfing and pocket game console for gaming.
Well, just by registering to forum.nokia.com you can download the SDK kits (the Symbian kit uses gcc even:) or order them on CD and the SDK CD is free, though they took some time to deliver them.
You must be talking about AALIB converted ascii images, but the real ones are hand drawn with programs like ANSI-Draw. And they can be called art, though the quality varies as in any other art form.
There has been a version of Doom for Nokia Communicator for sometime now, called Doom 9210 (original eh:). This P800 version only seems to have more sfx channels, but IIRC P800 has faster processor than in 9210, so that shouldn't be a problem.
What I cannot understand is that most LCD have only 1024x768 resolution or maybe 1280x1024. With 19" CRT you can have a nice resolution of 1600x1200. Where are the cheap high resolution CRTs? HP Omnibooks have 1440x1050 and a 15" display size. And the screen can't be that expensive, because the whole Omnibook is quite cheap, but LCD panels at that resolution are really expensive.
yeah, maybe a single drive, but what if you have 4 SATA HDDs, SATA DVD-burner? Then it would be a problem. And don't forget that 3D-card needs some watts too.. and I think some Voodoo cards did have extra powerconnector because mobos couldn't give enough juice..
Another thing, I don't appreciate a piece of software that, after taking as long as it did to be released, makes my PC respond like a PII 400Mhz with PC66 RAM.
Hmm, I don't know about you but I think that a PII/400 is pretty fast, but then again I do use KDE with my Pentium 200 laptop and 64MB of RAM (32MB wasn't enough, KDE started in 2-3 mins:).
You're forgetting that listening music for free isn't nearly as good thing as listening to music you WANT to hear and WHENEVER you choose to listen it.
Direct recording with optical line-in doesn't always work. Many of my CDs can't be recorded directly from DVD to MD. The MD just says 'Not Allowed'. But if I put the CD on my PC and play it (by reading the data, not by cd-lineout), I can record it from SB Audigy's optical out. Seems that my DVD player sends the copyright not allow bit with the music and Audigy doesn't.
RLX Technologies has a server based on Transmeta Crusoe chip and it can hold 24 CPUs in 3U space, giving 336 processors per rack (and 336GB of RAM and 27TB of HDD:)
For instance: I log into my server's adminsitrative area. Then, in another window, I browse someone's blog. And I click on their "search" button. As it turns out, this search button is a trap, which sends me to my own admin area with a command to delete someone's account. I'm logged in, I have a valid network address, I'm active, there's no problem.
Except that any decent system should ask is you're sure about deleting that account. And while it does that is should give some nice random text as a hidden field and expect it when submitted before deleting the account.
Also I think the odds of having this sort of trap are minimal. And you should always be able to undelete accounts...
Well, in ringtones, you don't have to pay for the original artist, just the person who wrote the song.
Also in Finland CD levys have been in effect for several years now. Dunno how this EUCD will change things.

Same story reported by CNN and commented here :)
Also Irssi and ircII have IDEA patches and they work really well too, been using them for year or two now.
The Australians made an electric gun long time ago, see it here, nice videos too.

Hehe, that would be great.. i can see it already:
boot from: http,cdrom,a,c

Come to Finland, just a month ago we had -42deg outside :)

Even better player called TextMedia 2.0 can be found here. It supports colors and couple different ascii modes.
Also filtering out chinese spam is easy.. just look for odd unicode strings :)

IB820 (from iBase) Pentium4 mobo has AGP display support, but all extension slots are on external backplane. Just buy one without PCI :)

Hope you filed a patent for your idea :)
