" However, I, for one, GREATLY appreciate the no smoking rule for restaurants here in Tennessee. I, for one, like to smell and taste the food I am eating, and, not the acrid and annoying smell of stale tobacco smoke. Smoking and non-smoking areas for restaurants were a joke... "
Then just don't eat there, why support greater government control? If someone wants to run an establishment where smoking is allowed then let them!
You can't demand a lawyer until you are arrested. During the field test you are not under arrest. They use the field test to decide if they are going to arrest you or not. NEVER TAKE ANY FIELD TESTS. DONT PHYSICALLY WALK A LINE OR TAKE A FIELD BREATHALYZER! It will only be used as evidence against you later.
If you get arrest afterwards you car will be impounded and you will be required to take the breathalyser at the police station. You can refuse that too but then there will be bad repercussions. You may lose your drivers license for awhile.
This is the broken window fallacy. Those jobs don't create wealth. Instead no wealth is generated and in some cases is lost.
The money going to those jobs should have been spend on something that would generate more wealth than they cost. That is stimulus.
A 12v battery. I never knew DC was more efficient than AC! WOW GOOGLE IS SO COOL!
I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic. A 12v battery in the power supply is more efficient than taking DC -> AC -> DC. That is what a UPS does, each conversion introduces loss. Having the battery in the power supply means there is no conversion so less power loss.
Why is Rise of the Triad notable?
Technology: It came out after Doom and used a heavily modified Wolfenstein 3D engine.
Gameplay: It had never before seen weapons and multiplayer was fun but the game overall got old.
I dont think rise of the triad deserves much of anything.
Yes it does exist. It depends on how to define freedom of speech. If you mean unbridled, say anything you want, when ever you want and where ever you want, with equal volume for all then no, we don't have freedom of speech but freedom of speech in America has never been legally defined as that.
It protects you from the government when speaking against the government, even if your speech seem loony and incites anger.
Exactly! This is not about tax, its about information. They will have a record of everywhere you've been and how fast you were going.
Automated speeding tickets, say you we're speeding? The GPS says otherwise. Can't remember where you at 9pm last week? Thats ok, we'll look at your GPS.
We'll pay for it no matter what. The truckers will push the taxation cost onto their customers who will push it onto consumers. If they don't then they'll go out of business.
The story says: "I'm wondering if the suspect should have denied any association with the car at all. After all, who knows where that mosquito had been?"
The suspect should tell the truth not lie.
China has a huge dependence on the US. If the US is in bad shape then china soon will be too. If china did that it would be committing suicide. Now that the chinese people have gotten a taste of higher standards of living they will revolt to keep it. That is the governments biggest fear.
I think this one's more fitting: A mechanical engineer, an electrical engineer and a software engineer are traveling in an old Fiat 500 (Bambino) when all of the sudden the car backfires and comes to a halt. The mechanical engineer says "Ah! It's probably a problem with the valves, or the piston!". The electrical engineer says "Nonsense! It's most probably a problem with the spark plugs or the battery!". The software engineer says "How about we all get out of the car, and get back in again".
Generally it's not considered 3G. Here is a good visual representation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Mobile_telecommunications_standards
oops, I meant my comment for the parent.
This is a worthless tip because most netbooks don't have DVD drives. I know because I looked and decided not to get one.
This is called late merging. If everyone did it traffic would flow better, look it up.
BS, you cannot control where fat is burned from.

The scientific method does not require a better theory in order to tear apart an incomplete or wrong theory.

Ah! A reference to the original Star Trek, episode 64.

The article doesn't specify which H.264 profiles and levels the card will encode and decode. Don't get too excited yet.

'nuff said.
Intel is working on Atom processors for this purpose.
