BTW, I quote spam because it doesn't qualify if someone chooses to receive it. It is only spam if it is pushed on a user unrequested. Losing that distinction muddies an extremely important issue about our right to control what communication we receive.

Sure but if you think you are getting one thing, like a brittney spears video, and instead you get some promo video for some porn site, then that qualifies as spam yes?

You are comparing the .com industry to the entertainment industry. The entertainment industry has proved time and time again that is not comparable to most other industries.

In order to get money to develop an entertainment product, let's say a record, you must first prove you can sell it. Why? Because there are a million bands just like you. It's not the music that sells, it's the idea and image that sells. You can go see shitty versions of Matchbox 20 at your local bar everywhere in America. It's just all the bullshit that makes them rich and famous. Even the Beatles were sold this way. (counter-culture style and all)

Video games are the same. There are a million code monkeys out there that can design and build games, but they have nothing because either they have no good ideas or cannot pull together the resources to get their vision "produced".

What I was trying to point out is that sometimes, you need the "idea men" to deal with the bullshit involved in producing entertainment. I both write code and play music so I kinda understand how both industries work and I don't think of it as a bad model. I mean, I want NOTHING to do with sales meetings as a code monkey and nothing to do with setting up a production schedule as a drummer. (cue "idea man" [bullshit artist])

If there are errors in your script PHP will just continue to run the script. If you are lucky you see a warning. If there is an error in a INSERT or UPDATE MySQL query it will just insert a similiar value. E.g. if you try to insert "45JF" in an integer column MySQL will insert "45" and won't give an Error.

You're a dumb ass. You can set the error handling in PHP quite easily and if you're stupid enough to not check your input before you do an insert then you deserve what you get.
