"Looks like RedHat is trying to do Novell one better. And maybe now that Novell-JBoss partnership arrangement won't get renewed?"
Oh it will get renewed at some insane price.
This looks like, and I always felt it would happen, Red Hat is becoming the Microsoft of Open Source
The electrical engineering can come in handy here and there actually. Even a network tech, admin, whatever, may have to d some hardware repair on anything.
Okay...........
So here's the deal. We need to right in papers or something where alot of people read everything that we say here. Let's face it. People that come here already know this. So without commiting libel we need to get this information out. But with tact. We can't go bash MS in public, tho we would want to. But someone(s) should write a little article titled FYI: Windows XP Behind the Scenes or something.
It's seeming that Windows is getting less and less customizable than ever.
That's one of the strong points in Linux I think. If you don't want it installed, un check it. No hidden installations of stuff. Windows 9x had this problem tooo.. Even if you deliberately checked don't install 3rd party internet accounts it did any way.
Wouldn't this be intersting to put in the trunk of your car and run a touch screen monitor to it that would up front? Maybe to have it run your audio and some other stuff??
I'm not usually a God preaching person, however this does remind me of what I was taught when I went to church a long time ago. The mark of the beast. Where you will need a number to buy and sell.

The question "What's an idiot?" would deal with a dictionary. "What can I call him OTHER an idiot?" would be a thesaurus

wait a minute. HP has always had a good track record with me. Compaq is terrible in my opinion, however HP should impose their standards on Compaq.

Open source Watch?
Didn't Palm and Sprint make an Palm Pilot that was also a phone?.......
I disagree.
I never really used the manuals to install Linux.
Infact it is very rare I buy a linux that has a manual.
If you have a descent knowledge of computers and how they work you should have no problem installing linux.
And Some linux's have you're "point and click" installiaton.
