No, see, you want someone NOT hired by any governmental body so it has a chance of being less bias and corrupt.
The judge should appoint someone not involved any way in the case to inspect the code.
I don't know what criminal charges could be brought, but I think there are probably grounds for either slander or libel suits by the people the company has accused.
I don't think (I, too, am not a lawyer) that libel or slander would play because the company, per se, is not accusing them. The police are.
Also,
"interference with the performance of an officer in performance of his duties"
I don't think they're technically interfering with the officer. If a patrol car doesn't start when they're about to pull out after a speeder, would you say Ford is interfering? (Or Dodge if they use Intrepids).
Because it is a crisis when a distro's server was penetrated and packages are possibly untrustworthy. Maybe the title would be less confusing if it was Redhat/Fedora?
Brad Blog has this story from when Diebold had a picture of their key on their corporate website back in January 2007. Diebold's since replaced the picture.
There's a video of the key in action @ the link I just posted.
And what kind of bugs are you submitting? Keep in mind big projects get alot of bug sumissions. Did you do the research and see if it's a dupe? Is it a security bug, they'll probably get looked @ first. Then they'll look if it's cosmetic or functioning. You're the one that attacked OSS, so I figured you're a MS fan boy. If I'm wrong then I'm wrong. Most open source programs, except for big ones like DEs and distros or office programs, etc, most developers aren't getting paid to make and are writing them in their spare time. I don't know what your profession is or what bugs you actually submitted or to what projects, but when submitting a bug, evaluate how important it is, to everyone, not just you, and set your expectations. If you can code, then submit a patch.
And yet, Open Suse has fixed, as of July 6, almost 3000 bugs from opensuse 10.3 to 11.0. Mostly typos.
KDE has been making great strides in updgrades causing less crashes by updating bugs. And since you're attacking OSS, let's lay out all the cards. What has Microsoft done about their bugs? Oh, yea, they get hard coded into production releases.

At least it's here though, even if it's a work in progress being updated and fixed. I just did a hudge 4.0.85 update w/ suse updater this morning (well July 5th). Not like Vista which was pushed back and back and back and...well those bugs are there to stay:)
There should be progress reports on the bug status, I agree. But they're probably weeding out the truly (the ones that really are not just labeled) critcial and security ones and then working their way down. A message of how the bugs are addressed would be good on the bugzilla page.
Once I installed xine I had absolutely no problem running Amarok. That was w/ 4.1 beta. Then I had to do a re-install of the OS, so after that I did a install of beta 2. I think it's even better. No random crashes. The only problem I'm having is kmenuedit doing a sick loop.
And that will never happen. They'll lobby for new laws and get them or have them sneaked into other laws this http://tech.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=08/06/06/211236&from=rss">this. The RIAA is going nowhere. And neither is piracy. If DRM-Free mp3's weren't so expensive, I'd be more inclined to buy them.
Still, the thermal sensor would pick up even if you're close the machine. Now, a retinal scanner would be okay because it actually checks the eye and you can't do that w/ a piece of paper.
Wouldn't they be a problem in small bars that are hot and lots of people? The bar I go to is relatively small, and it's always warm in there, probably near 75 degrees frequently. And the cigarette machine is by the pool tables that have lots of people around them, some people even put their beer on top of the cigarette machine til they are done their shot.
That's true....if you really know their of drinking age. PLCB has been cracking down alot here on stuff like that. Bars in my area have resorted to either NOT selling tobacco or having it behind the bar.
Considering if MS went open source with Windows, their would surely be pressure on nvidia and ati and other companies to open their drivers. How could you not think there would be?
I don't know. I think this would probably force companies to start open sourcing drivers. And we'd see things ported over to Linux. And we'd probably finally have linux on the desktop. Developers would take what they like from windows and pretty much salvage what they want instead of actually rebuilding Windows and taking out the bloat.
. I could in fact replace Linux with KDE, Gnome or XFCE depending on which DE I'm using.
You do understand, of course, that KDE, Gnome, and XFCE are windows managers and not operating systems right?
Also, in Suse you can search by description in the software management tool. But the point is, the repos are all there, so you can search the description, google it only if you want opinions and details on it, select the one you want, and then hit install. With windows, you need to google it, then download it, then go through the install, then probably use it for 30 days and then pay for it.

They were told not to actually give the presentation @ DefCon. Not that they couldn't post anything about it.

Well go click on your preferences and then go click on classic layout. It's the first option in preferences.
I concur. I swear it used to slide the page down and you could log in at the very top of the page. Or am I losing my mind?
I think you have set your preferences to the D2 style format instead of classic.
The Google Cache.

Yup, we'll get right on that. Right after we implement liquor vending machines.

I'm sure it would, and maybe fairly quickly (~5 years or so?) as developers start sifting through it.

And if you had no idea what it was, would it be for creating programs or creating video and graphics?
