    Associate professor at Deakin? How prestigious.

    I would trust peer reviewed Wikipedia articles backed up with other sources; over biased Deakin lecture power point slides (that can't be contributed to) anyway.

    The point that Adobe as a company is slow adapting to new platforms and architectures. For a company of this size, it's pretty shameful...

    Hi, you must be "special". If a company makes such a statement (like not supporting CS4 on OS X), it is a good indicator that a Flash plugin for PPC is even more unlikely than before.

    Please let me know if you would prefer less syllables, or a clue.

    It's easy enough to install these fonts on Linux and OS X.
    As a user of all 3, OS X renders fonts the best. I prefer Linux on my Mac box though.

    Calibri is great for emails, but not for DDA/508 usage. The size is different to the other fonts (Arial, Helevetica, Trebuchet, ...).

    A G4 (unfortunately). I have to use Gnash instead of Flash (Gnash isn't complete yet) - however I can boot OS X whilst running Linux using MOL (Mac On Linux).

    It reduces energy usage (better for the environment), and it is nice having daylight well into the evenings in summer (perfect for outdoor BBQs, beer gardens, etc).

    Ruby = language
    Rails = framework
    Ruby on Rails = framework implemented with said language.

    You can't fairly compare framework+language to another language. That's like comparing a complete bike to a bike frame.

    RoR is a framework, you can't fairly compare it to PHP, which is a language.

    That is a good book for picking up RoR and Ruby quickly.

    It hasn't converted me from my preference for PHP though ;-)
