I say this as someone who's written.NET code for 17 years now - and last wrote Java back in University (1999).
The.NET Framework is kept constantly up to date by Windows Update. It might be nice if Java was a Windows "Feature" - and every month the latest version was downloaded with Windows updates. Microsoft has been embracing open source, and supporting other platforms for years. I like the new Microsoft.
Java apps shouldn't be an alien, and choice benefits developers and eventually consumers.
Furthermore, their Razer Config Utility is always showing an update "Upgrade your Sound for Free". If you open it, and choose "Never", it will bother you again after the next reboot.
When Red Hat 6 or 7 are mentioned in close proximity I automatically think of the CDs I was installing on my PIII 450 MHz many years ago. Before I visited Fedora, *buntu and Debian.
I still have that PIII... maybe I should boot it up and frustrate myself trying to get LILO to install and then unfrustrate myself looking at pixelated pr0n at 28.8 kbps:-)
TrueCrypt will not help you. Passwords and decryption keys must be provided if ordered by a magistrate, or you face six months in jail.
The Australian Cybercrime Act 2001 No. 161, Items 12 and 28 grant police with a magistrate's order the wide-ranging power to require "a specified person to provide any information or assistance that is reasonable and necessary to allow the officer to" access computer data that is "evidential material"; this is understood to include mandatory decryption. Failing to comply carries a penalty of 6 months imprisonment.
Uh, no 16021 projects. And this was with one click from the homepage - "Project Directory" - funny about how obvious links make sense.

The only thing Apple can take is several loads of man-juice. Purchasers of superior quality hardware (unfortunately not upgradeable) and inferior software (according to wilipedia and R.Stallman) are known as MacFags (TM, patent pending).

I used Mozilla/SeaMonkey/Phoenix/Firefox for 9 years. I switched to Opera a few months ago and never looked back.
The 'advertisement banner' was a stigma for me, although now I realise Opera Software are THE innovators.
I realise it's not "open", but I look forward to any JS or rendering optimisations they may do to counter Chrome/FF3.1.
Options are beginning to look like a good thing. Striving to match a rival will only be good for the world (and those of us who develop for the web ftl or ftw).
Speaking about exploited, dirty cows... /I didn't copy this on write
If they want to pay extra for crap - it's digital Darwinisiam.
Apple hasn't been an innovative leader for a decade. It's best to look elsewhere.

Well that's a list of first-iest of first world wishes.
My HTC Desire HD is just over 7.5 years, rooted and running 4.4. It makes phone calls. It sends & receives sms AND email.
Do you have to pay EA extra to unlock all the GPU cores before playing Battlefront II?

I will never purchase Razer again.
Maybe they should focus on reducing logging and fragmentation. I won't pay for such poorly written software again:

The C# GoTo statement is pretty uncommon to see in use:

Getting old is learning not to care what people think of your opinion or whether they heard you the first time.
The chances are... they don't (and shouldn't) care.

This has been in place since October 2001.

MacFag quote: This is UNIX - I know this!
If only they listened to the world about whaling too.
ZeePMs are at maximum entropy upon creation. ZedPMs can dial more than 6 chevrons, and make wraith become vegan.
With proper pronunciation comes much zero point energy. Use it wisely!
Yo AC, I'm happy for you and I'm going to let you finish, but that's what x64 said about DragonFly 3 years ago.
Thor uses Linux. Stability only requires "not flying off the handles". Thankfully, Kanye does not have his own "Hammer" brand.
Aye, that is the MOTD in the Dragon Fly 2.4 release.
Maybe in 5 years I will buy x64. When Win 32S no longer works on Win 3.1
I [heart] this company and Ubuntu,
It's no longer beta, it's gamma.
for when hell freezes over.
Although if Microsoft had an option in 7 to "make it look like XP" it would be a good thing.
I'm running 9.62. I just remember it came with a banner back in the 90s.
I switched at 9.5 - bookmark synchronisation (ala Google Browser Sync) clinched the deal!
I don't see adds either.
Download the url filter:

and also get the CSS "element hide" file.
It's not AdBlock, but I don't see advertisements anymore. 5 minutes is a small price to pay :-)

I assume you're the boss, so you could work 9am-5pm and he could work 5.30pm-1.30am.
That way you can still code naked.
