Mozilla had a bug to create a full screen version for all platforms... It was implemented on windows, marked completed, and a new bug was created for all other platforms. It's marked moz 1.1 which kinda bums me out because everything but windows is getting low priority

I just print previewed this page and it's still broken... Better - but still broken. Mozilla still has printing issues. Not a huge deal, but hopefully something that will be (at least mostly) fixed for 1.0
I still love moz, and don't know how I managed without it.
I can understand how, after 5-6 years of development it could be pretty well integrated in there now... I don't think that it's impossible to have an operating system that doesn't have an internet browser integrated into it. The real point is that they never should have put it in there in the first place Was there some natural OS evolution where they had to say "well, our OS is pretty great... There's no way that we can improve on anything unless we integrate our internet browser into it?" Should we just say "well, you've been blatently lying to us for years, but because you were able to block our investigation for so long, it's ok now?"
...Plain and simple. Sun wants to sell solaris, and IBM is competing with them. This shouldn't suprise anybody... Plus, they have a point about the VM. 2.4 VM still needs work if you want to run it on a mainframe. Not taking $$ into account, Solaris would probably be a better choice.
They don't need to, because every possible skin you can think of has already been made. I remember downloading over a gig of skins once a few years ago, and I didn't even scratch the surface...
ok, you're right, but... you can take that digital data off the CD, lose a few bits because of the horrible medium it on, and have a near perfect copy... It will sound the same as when it was being played though, because you're getting hit by the same errors as you would when you played it... due to imperfections in the medium.
If you mean ripping to an MP3 or OGG, then I'd agree. You're converting your data on the fly to a compressed format... But with digital data, you've got a set of ones and zeros that should not get changed over time. If your hardware isn't reading the data correctly, you've got a hardware problem. Digital data isn't subject to wear like analog data is. An analog waveform is subject to degredation over a few generations. 1010101010 should stay 1010101010 after a million copies.
In fact, you could test that... Try it - write 10101010 on a sheet of paper and then copy it to a new paper... then make a copy of the copy. Do that about 1 million times, then do the same with a sine wave. after the millionth time you'll still have 10101010 in binary... Who knows what that sine wave will look like;)
Trolling, but I'll humor you. Playing with legos is better than sitting and clicking all day. You don't need to go on adventures and kill orcs over on the other side of town.
If it's digital data, there's no way you can make a copy and lose quality. Any freshman computer engineering student can tell you that.
These companies should stop wasting so much money on these worthless technologies and lower prices on thier products. Maybe the reason people don't buy thier garbage is because it's horribly overpriced.
a game by the creators of Myst that let you explore worlds)!
There's a real world out there that's more fantastic than any imaginary world that some computer nerd dreamed up. Children need to be socialized - yes, sitting in front of a computer stifles creativity.
Here here! I'm sick of hearing about computers that can fly and cure cancer. Who's making these predictions? They don't know what the hell they're talking about.
Why? We're animals no different than all other living beings on this planet... Biological machines that can be tricked into growing an in artificial womb much like Windows apps can be tricked into running on Linux via Wine.
I don't know about that. I thought they were getting another Release Candidate ready because there were a few known bugs in RC1.

yea, except those boss buttons are pretty outdated now...
"Why are you using a dos based calculator?"
Do you have info? I'd be interested to see it.

The site is slashdotted!?!
+5 Informative
I love sifting through 5 million "the site is slashdotted" posts. They're so insightful. If it's not redundant, it's definately offtopic...
man cupsaddsmb Use the Adobe drivers

Someone should make a "patch" that transmits "fuck you microsoft" 100 times for every video you play ;)
Woah, Windows Media player, not MPlayer
what's apple.slashdot.org... Or am I out of the loop?
You didn't get the memo?
Do people make skins and stuff for Q2 anymore?
They don't need to, because every possible skin you can think of has already been made. I remember downloading over a gig of skins once a few years ago, and I didn't even scratch the surface...
I get half of a model... The right half is invisible, chopped right down the center.
bummer... Is there a bugzilla.amorMD2.org?

Don't be afraid of knowledge, embrace it.
they don't want to have to play around with XF86 configs to change their resolution.
;)
Recent versions of Mandrake have a gui control panel which let you do such things... But I'm sure there's other examples

Is it just me, or does anyone else think root-mean-square every time you see "RMS?" I really hope not.
how'd he get that nickname "RMS?" (yes, I know that's his initials you twit, but no one calls me NAP)
The should let people sell that stuff online, they can use the money to buy a life.
Mod me as flamebait if you want, but come on... Let's be realistic here.
