It is like they have two scripts and just put them together. The first hour is great; just like you see in the trailers. Dark and powerful. Then the movie changes into some bad Lethal Weapon clone. Its odd and startling.
Has 50 desktops with Caldera Linux, 15 with Solaris 8 and 25 Macs that dual boot Mac OS X/Yellow Dog Linux 2.0. At home I have a new Yellow Dog Linux box and an IBM ThinkPad running Mandrake 8.1. Oh yes I own 10 Macs:)
I find that digitalling removing WTC images from movies (past and present) disturbing. It is like we are trying to erase the fact they ever existed, which is wrong. I know seeing the WTC towers will be disturbing but for 30 years they were a distinct part of Americana. What are we going to do, cut pictures of them out of magazines and text books? Pull the remake of King Kong from the shelves?
I found this video very moving and powerful. Kudos to the filmmaker! The towers bustled with so much life now its all gone, for what? for nothing.
Someday, life will return to that area and when it does we will be all better for it!
Not great either. Theme music stinks. Old, rehash Vulcan "issues".
It is nice that Scott Bakula is getting something out of Paramount after they screwed him over Quantum Leap but other than this, this series is garbage.
And how does armor plating go "offline" anyway?
This is great for NASA and science in general! Its good to see probes being tested beyond their design goals; Space is full of risks and perils and it is good we are pushing the envelope. Hopefully they'll keep DS-1 around a while because just because its old, doesn't mean you throw it away.
Let's not bash the Department of Agriculture--without them, where would I get my Rice Crispies? =)
