Scanning the story, I thought it was talking about telephones, and was wondering why all the posts weren't offtopic. Ahh, must be too early in the morning:-)

Quantum encryption seems like a good solution...they're trying to mathematically prove that it's unbreakable.
I'm not a troll, but jeez, most software is extremely easy to compile. Read the README,./configure, make, make install. Some programs (wine, for example) come with already created install scripts that ask you what options you want, where to install it, etc.. Maybe it's not the prettiest interface, but it's not hard.
The guy probably took down the whole site (or set the permissions so the web server couldn't access it) so that his server didn't start flaming (or overflowing):)
Also, it's not that hard to fake publication dates when we're talking about websites. There would be no way to really track when a page was posted; how would the courts deal with this?
I'm assuming that's good thing, eh? (sorry, it sounded like you were sympathizing with those 'poor little spammers' who might not have a home anymore)...:-)

But the world won't be here in 50 years :-(

You could also fry a chicken and make a computer chip out of it :-)
The submission said Linux and Star Office 5.2..The 'what sort of computer' would be interesting, though..
Hopefully animal rights activists don't get a hold of this story...I can see the protests aganist 'Chicken Feather' microchips..:-)
