Defendants Mark Elliot Zuckerberg and Facebook, Inc. (“Facebook”) respectfully submit this memorandum in support of their motion to dissolve the ex parte temporary restraining order (the “TRO”) issued by the Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of Allegany, in this matter. Plaintiff has utterly failed to meet the procedural and substantive requirements for such drastic relief, and the order issued by the state court is similarly flawed and woefully inadequate.
In his Complaint, Plaintiff
alleges that, as a result of a two-page contract purportedly entered into more than seven years
ago (and approximately nine months before the founding of Facebook), he is entitled to an 84%
ownership stake in the Company. (Id. at Ex. A 4, 8).
it sounded to me like the questioner knew way too much about the situation to not have been an insider... IE, and employee at the company. I'd say that at least 3 people inside the company were involved in that interview.
From what I read, the people involved in the interview where not employees but close: they were volunteers. Two of them apparently where the Lore Team for the game (they came up with lore and background) and therefore had direct contact with management/developers I guess.
(and as a side note.... a lore team as volunteers? come on. A serious game should have hired people to do that)
Hi
Actally an OSS MMORPG project is already ongoing. The Planeshift project started end of 2000/ early 2001 and development is still going strong.
If you want to help them go take a look at their recruitment page
For example, a the moment they are looking for 2D and 3D artists as well as Background/setting team members.
It's been a while since I haven't tested their game (more than a year) so I won't comment on it, but the best thing is to head over there and try it yourself;)
Be aware thought that it is an ongoing project, so don't go there looking for a finished game:)
Yes fishy indeed, on adobe's page concerning eBook Reader 2.2 they state that the eBook reader software has been merged with the Adobe Acrobat Reader into a single product.
This is clearly NOT what the worldbooklibrary.com/adobe site is claiming.
Who knows what might be in this "reader".. a trojan? virus? spyware.... only one way to find out, download it! (have an antivirus software around if you're on windows)
Does anybody else think they are shooting themselves in the foot? I mean, if they had left the article alone, it would have gotten limited coverage and would have been forgotten by most by now. Instead, with these threats, they 1) bring attention back to the article, and 2) make a larger audience aware of the article (I hadn't seen the article until 2 weeks ago - I'm not a hardocp regular sorry)
Also when they say in their letter "This is not what Laura Roberts told you. Laura Roberts told you [blah blah]" I think they really wanted to say "These are not the droids you are looking for";)
very member of the Windows NT family since Windows NT 3.5 has been evaluated at either a C2 level under the U.S. Government's evaluation process or at a C2-equivalent level under the British Government's ITSEC process.
Concerning the C2 level certification, the only microsoft products that have this certification are
Microsoft SQL Server 2000, Win NT 4.0 and Win NT 3.5 according to microsoft itself
But anyway, these certifications are bogus, since the products are evaluated "against the Trusted Computer System Evaluation Criteria (TCSEC) and its interpretations" also called the Orange Book. However, the Orange Book applies to standalone machines and operating systems! Wow. great.
This standard clearly has no meaning anymore in modern computer security (if it ever had one).

to see the original interview before it was translated to german (and then back to english). It is however only the same part of the interview as in the linked article (ie the beginning is not shown there either).
The interview is real... but it is also from 1995...
Rest in peace, you will not be forgotten

tried firefox then IE just in case, but the page works with neither of them.

They should be reported to Adobe.

Indeed, L0pht heavy Industries was the hacker group who had merged with @stake a few years back.
They became the "research and development" division of @stake apparently...
here is the link to an archived press release talking about the merger:
http://www.xent.com/FoRK-archive/jan00/0035.html
From what happened to Dr. Geer we can see that the spirit of the L0pht is really gone now.
