i hope you arent planning on doing anything critical database-wise with VMWare. otherwise you are in for a surprise.

not true.
i was at an MSDN conference a while ago and the exact words were: "In theory,.NET could run on Linux. Are we going to make it do that? I don't think so. But you can be pretty sure a third-party will. Our goal is to make Windows the best operating system to run.NET on."
If you can figure out how to download and install a new browser, I'm sure you can figure out how to go to WindowsUpdate in IE.
The fact is you can change almost anything in Windows. If MS had kept certain URLs that could only be opened with IE... what do you think the reaction would be on Slashdot? "MS is evil!"
You'll never have it both ways. MS is evil, no matter what they do. Kinda like the mind of a terrorist viewing the US.
You guys sound like a bunch of morons.
"The second mouse button is too complicated"
"Context menus are too complicated"
"Open With... is too complicated"
How did you guys manage to get to this website??
I'm not even gonna ask if you installed Linux yourselves.
I can see it now:
Hordes of little kids crying about how they cant hit the enemy with a sniper rifle while jumping up and down.
"What? He killed me in one hit? Thats such bullshit. I'm l33t!!"
unfortunately there are legal problems, as MP3 rights holders are trying to force shoutcast broadcasters to pay 10c for every song played.
but it would be really cool. and to be able to set up your own private radio station from home and tune into it in your car... that would be sweet.
More anti-Microsoft "news" from the anti-Microsoft site? Astonishing.
No spam, no flames, no religious security wars, instead you get good wholesome information. Wow, the exact opposite of slashdot!
Why isn't there a story about anthrax sent to Microsoft? Oh, right... then we'd see the true nature of this site, wouldn't want that... too unPC
I'll give you $1000 if you can hack my computer: 127.0.0.1
I was there! I saw it with my own eyes :)
sure... Microsoft added "attachments" to email... good one.

Jon Katz is still alive? I wish he was at the top of the WTC on Sept 11.
I think Jon is "this close" to being a terrorist himself. He's one of those wackos that could snap at any minute. We should lock him up now.

you have no evidence to back up this ridiculous claim.
hitler himself wrote that he was a Christian, believed in God, Jesus, and had the backing of the Catholic church in Germany during the war.
