Pardon my ignorance, but isn't this a violation of the anti cracking clauses of the DCMA?

The largest commnist government have either failed orstarted to use market forces to grow. Large IT projects have similar aspects. I have been watching one of he larget the Navy Marine Corps Intranet from the sidelines for a while. It has been easy to throw stones after the fact, but it would have taken an IQ of 500 to figure this thing out. If I knew the solution I would not post it here...

  5. Because legs are all terrain on Sony Claims First Running Humanoid Robot · · Score: 5, Insightful

Try getting a wheeled vehicle to go everyplace you can go. Upstairs, climb a ladder, move in any direction from a dead stop. Wheel are great if you want to go fast, but legs are better if you want moderate speed and maneuverability.

Ask someone in a wheel chair what they think of wheels instead of legs.

  12. A Long Hard Road on Interview With Shawn Gordon of TheKompany · · Score: 2, Interesting

I was an early adopter of Kapital. Seems like over a year now, I am not sure. I had been using Linux exclusively since 1996 and only used windows for Quicken/TurboTax since it had all my financial data since 1993. The early beat versions of Kapital were very encouraging but the most amazing thing was the damn near heroic effort to get a program like Kapital to work on the ZILLIONS of different Linux distributions. Anyone who thinks Linux has a chance on the mainstream desktop needs to look at the mailing list logs for kapital, and the many replies from Shawn regarding difficulties in those areas. Simply amazing. Linux isn't going to Fork like the major Unices did in the 80's, it already HAS.
