  1. OSHA Hazzard ahead! on Wireless Security By The Gallon · · Score: 1

How long do you think it will take before the sites that use this start to peal, flake paint, creating another class of OSHA harrard? Remember lead paint? I be this use will be outlawed by some states soon. Massachusetts will lead the way.

  2. Should be easy on Spain, Morocco To Build Undersea Rail Tunnels · · Score: 1

When I was an aircrewman in the US Navy, we laid the "groundwork" for such an endevor. I flew in P3-Orions - subhunters. We would regularly drop many, many sonobuoys, metal cylinders about three feet long, between the straits, screening for Soviet subs. This went on continuously, and most likely still does, for many many years. So the foundation for such an endevor is being built on US technology!

  3. Codes for motorcycles? on Automakers to Make Diagnostic Codes Available · · Score: 1

I wonder if this includes motorcycles. As a specific example, BMW uses their own interface to access diagnostic information for their motorcycles. The data is encrypted, and is not readable by anythin other than their Moditec computer, which you can by form them for something like $5000.00. I have one of these bikes, and it is frustrating to know that I cannot properly diagnose my bike's woes without going to a dealer.

  4. Collaboration on RFPs And Open Source Projects? · · Score: 1

I checked out Jabber.org - does this do any collaboration, or just IM? If collaboration is what you are after, there are many products out there that may serve your needs. Now for the cheap, shameless plug: My company, Cisco, has a neat system called the Cisco Collaboration server. Although originally create for the call center market, it is browser based, and quite customizable. My group is currenty using it for Synchronous distance learning. You can see more at: http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/180/prod_plat/cus t_cont/cis/web_collaboration.html Another tool that my wife's company uses is called webex. (http://www.webex.com) Not that flexible, in my opinion, but it may be cheaper t aquire/use.
