And maybe they'd like to decorate them with an image they can create using a drawing program.
And maybe they'd like to read slashdot too, but that is far more unlikely.

France have had personal ID cards for years and really, I don't see where it is a privacy problem.
Moreover, it proved so much useful (sic!) that it is no longer mandatory and is now replaced by the use of passeports, which are not mandatory to have, unless you want to travel outside the country.
In North-America, people use your driving license as an ID card. So can somebody explain why having ID cards is a problem in the first place, whatever kind of ID it is?

That should not prevent you from getting interested in science. No doubt that, as a developer, you probably have the necessary background to understand the importance of that kind of science.

So go away from your screen this week-end. Get in the countryside and watch the night sky. You'll find out that it's probably one of the few time you'll enjoy contemplating a black screen with only snow on it (or what would appear like it)...

I am not sure where you are from, but where I live, your landlord has absolutely NO RIGHT to come to your house - even for any kind of inspection. They are not even allowed to keep a copy of the keys. And if you find that he came to your home without your authorisation, it is considered breaking in and punished as a thief would be.
