This is the hardest part to believe, I have learnt to use a 6-finger input method on the 9210, which results into a decent input rate.

Also, you stated the Treo has longer battery life, the Nokia 9210 has talk time of 4-10 hours (which is what really counts) and standby time upto 230 h. Treo has 3 hours talktime and 150 hours standby.

Maybe you owned the previous version? It fits your description better. Good try, but I am still not convinced.

This Zaurus, and these other new PDAs look fancy and all, but as long as they do not have a quality mobile phone BUILT-IN atleast it is impossible to even consider buying one. Even though the Nokia Communicator is already dated, I still think it's the only real choice if you are looking for a combination of a phone & PDA (& mobile ssh client for me) - with emphasis on the phone side. Or, is there something else that works and which has a decent KEYBOARD built-in?

Yes, I agree. And to be honest, I have not followed Jabber enough to base an opinion on whether it's in good phase to "IETFed".

SMTP and FTP examples of good work, but I think that when these were under consideration, IETFed still worked much more smoothly than it does today. There has been lots of discussion on stagnation, as for examle this and number of others state. But if Jabber is in good phase, a little slow down might not be that bad. And anyway, the would is better of WITH IETF than without it :)

It would be interesting to know whether the movie file was leaked by someone who is part of the team - or if someone cracked into their system and stole it. I quess the cracker possibility could be quite potential too, because: they clearly use a lot of digital/computerized technology - even probably for communication within the team (so there probably would be the possibilities to do it) and because I doubt that the one who leaked the previous episode would have had the balls to do it again. If it was stolen by a system cracker - I would not like to be in the shoes of their sys.adm / infosec specialist who did not take enough action to make sure it does not happen again.

Anyway, even the well educated people in the "uncensored" world seem to not process - but just eat -unprocessed - the information that they receive and believe for example that what they hear from TV/Radio whatever, is unbiased and relevant information to be used to base one's own opinion on.

The problem is that majority of people think that they have formed their opinion after inspecting a wide range of views (as there's free speech, this must be the case, right?) - when in reality their opinion was formed by only 1 or 2 views that reflect the view of a very small interest group or they formed their opinion based on biased "information".

You saw it in TV news, it must be true - effect.

I don't like censorship. But I also don't like the fact that in the countries that allow free speech, the biggest megaphones are controlled by only a very small group of companies and individuals.

Basicly, if the media wants, they can brainwash majority of people in believing anything they want.

In the case of censorship, you know atleast, that you don't have access to unbiased information - and you know that if you want to create an unbiased opinion, you need to do it yourself.

But, as we have free speech, it is easy to leave thinking to the media, and let someone else form your opinion. So, to some extent, I think that the fact that media is controlled by tiny interest groups, is maybe even a bigger threat than censorship.
