Oh, and I've gone on to being a tutor in a community college. All the students know me by name by the second week of every semester. They ask for me to ask simple questions. They ask for me for appointments. And at the moment, I'm the only one working the floor.
On top of it all, I haven't taken my antipsychotic in three days, so every little thing irritates me.
Mining on other planets for use on any planet where there is already a source for the mineral is senseless. Now, with Mars's reduced gravity, I can see mining there for use in other places in the solar system. It would definitly be cheaper to raise materials off the surface of Mars than the surface of the Earth. Time necessity of arrival will play a role as well; if the Earth happens to be better positioned to send a shipment to a given planet than Mars, and the benefits of sending from Earth outweigh the costs of lifting the material from the Earth's gravity well, then by all means send it from Earth! The same gravity argument could be made for the Moon as a mining resource.
Here's a quick list of all the factors I can think of in planning a shipment of generic material:
planetary gravity well
relative total thrust required (affected by the planet's relative velocity vector and its distance from the destination)
24, 32-bit performance...it's all good, and it works. If your interference is random, then you can remove it easily: Sample at N times your intended bitrate, then use average every N bits to get a more accurate sample at a lower bitrate.
To be honest, I have to admit I'm looking forward to even higher sample rates.
I wouldn't change the input voltage of the DAC...I'd use a _really_ good amplifier to move the signal range to that which the DAC can use. Preferrably spreading the signal out along the full spec of the DAC to minimize low bit errors.
We need to get SCO's lawyers added to the "wonder chickens" and "barrels of monkeys" that come in that little tagline at the bottom of the front page...
I read in a Reader's Digest a long time ago about a lie detector a police department used...a metal collander wired to a copy machine that spat out "He's lying!" at the push of a button...
Just because there's already a law making something illegal doesn't mean that additional steps can't be taken to make enforcement easier.
The problem is when these additional steps clash against civil liberties and fair/non-illegal use. (That is to say, there's almost always something wrong with the scheme.)
At this point, there's no need to be worried about their email-based stuff. If I had a machine to download all the mail to, I'd subscribe to their news update service...They do a Google news keyword search and email you the news results every so often. That's what I call staying up-to-date.
Here's an example link. Look at the bottom of the page.

Being the only tech support rep, and having no authority. For four years. No holidays or weekends.
Beat that. I was every customer's verbal-abuse toy.
Well, that sort of support is part of the OSDL's charter.
If you coat it with a phospherescent material and illuminate it with enough UV, you might make a decent night light.
But now I'll never get to sleep...

Anyone care to add?

Sounds like the Sound Blaster Extigy/Audigy.

Well, then it's different. If he's got a conscience (or if he's religous), he's washing the taste of evil out. Which means he lied recently.
I used to have a DOS program that would say stuff like that. I also recently re-nabbed lovedos.

Us paranoids are damned no matter what we say!
I remember very clearly what my little brother (at five years old) said when he first put on the red/blue glasses:
"Cool! I can see in three dee!"
Right, unless they fail a background check. Then they sort of disappear...
And they suffocate any actor that's supposed to show his face... Gotta go blue.

I agree that it's a bad idea, but I disagree why. I don't like the idea of software I pay for not doing what I instruct it to do.
From a government (and a practical) standpoint, however, it's a good idea. After all, when solving any problem, two prongs are better than one.
Well, if I had one. :/ ... Something about the way the CD is read is a form of copy protection. That's all I can remember...
The idea is that it's cheap...if you're not on a tight deadline, you can afford to wait for it to get there.
I'm guessing some of the challenges in the original GameCube will be faced when developing for the second edition as well.
Things like the mini-CD spinning the other way...
It was a massive wake for the death of the Terran dinosaurs when we got hit by that asteroid 65 million years ago.
Significant figures. The public will bite you on them, every time.
Call me a moron, sonny? I've got a five-digit UID, which makes me old enough to be yuh grand-paw! Pay ruh-spect to yuh elduhs.
