Sorry about that, sometimes it seems like the US is a test-bed for the worst policies. If corps can get them to stick here, they know they just need to try harder elsewhere.
Not a shill, but here to speak up for ATT. I ditched comcast and switched to ATT afew years back. First I had DSL, and now I have Uverse. I was getting around 6m/512k with dsl. I now get about 15m/1.5m with uverse.
In my experience Comcast has better advertised rates, but they suck if you try to use them. I would download a 200mb file in afew seconds, but a 700mb or bigger iso would take hours. A torrent file would crawl after the first few minutes and take days to get over a gig. With att, it might take 30 seconds to download a 200mb file, but it also takes 15 minutes for a 700mb file and a couple hours for a multi-gig torrent. It's like night and day.
I also run an x2go server that I connect to from work for "testing" (and web surfing). It has a way better connection over att. I can definitely tell the difference.
you only need tanks if you want to take heavily fortified positions and there just aren't many of those in the US. Wait until there are attacks on US solders or government personnel, then tell me how many heavily fortified positions there are in the US.
How many of them have working refrigerators, ovens, or microwaves seems a more relevant question. I'm puzzled why you are asking about cable television?
When I used to live in a poorer area, I would see people walking or biking to work on the side of the road (no sidewalks). They would be out there in all weather. Now that I live in a more affluent area, all the main roads have sidewalks or paths. If the weather is good I may see people out jogging or biking.
Seriously, I don't understand why Netflix comes off as the golden boy in these discussions...
It's almost like people have been so sorely abused they are welcoming anything that changes things. I think this is more of a commentary on how reviled the traditional cable and telecom companies are. (that sentence is terrible...)
You know, I keep hearing that healthcare costs are too difficult to price out for comparison. However, just last week I heard an NPR report about people taking longer to pay their bills to doctors. So of course the docs put in systems that can immediately figure out how much a procedure costs so people can prepay. It calculates insurance and everything.
Two questions, did she pay for this herself, or was it paid for by the Canadian healthcare system? Was her followup provided by the US doctors or the Canadian healthcare system? Do you think that she would have been able to afford it if she had been paying for all her other healthcare at US prices? Do you think there will not be any private practice if the US reforms it's system?
Amazon prime sucks, IMHO. I will however, use Amazon to rent movies. They do have a truly deep selection, it's like walking around an old blockbuster and browsing the $1 movies, but you pay $3.99,:`(
I'm not talking about fixing the situation by creating a union. I'm talking about finding a way to fix unions so they work. It's not impossible.
I don't know about you, but I like to fix things, not avoid them because I think they are broken.
It's nice to see all the anti-union rhetoric. Now find me a police dept that doesn't have a union. Interesting...
RTFA, the reward is about 1/10 of the damage done, insulting and hardly a deterrent.
+1 crazy rambling
My point is that this is not a case for or against regulation to encourage broadband for all Americans.
WOW was an overbuilder. They cherry picked the densest areas. [sarcasm]Sounds great for all Americans.[/sarcasm]

I would mod you up as funny, but I commented earlier.

Thank you for the male-centric point of view. I applaud your restraint in the number of wives you desire.
It might be cruel, but we have insured it is not unusual.

old spice used to have alcohol in their deodorant. I figured that out quick when I had a cut in my armpit one day...
I would love to see something to backup this claim.

Not to mention the broken by design stuff that is put in place to convince people something is unworkable.

I thought this was revealing. Here's the story: http://www.npr.org/blogs/healt...

OK, more then 2 questions.
I can't get a week, but I get 2 days of hard usage out of my moto droid max.
Droid Maxx from motorola gives me 2 days of hard use (gaming, music, maps, ebooks) on one charge.

There is also a 20 year limit on liability from lawsuits, at least in Indiana. The debt will probably expire and is unenforceable.
