  1. That actually varies by state, some are 2 party consent and some are 1 party consent for audio recording.
And there have been incidents of people upset about being video recorded who couldn't do anything about it until they realized audio was recorded as well.

  2. I already have a service that handles this, just send me the pic and I'll handle it....

Children are excellent at discerning facts, but we lie to them. Sometimes because it's a fun tradition like Santa Claus or the tooth fairy. Sometimes because we want to spare their feelings, like the puppy who went to live on the farm or people who went to heaven. Other times because we don't know better ourselves, like bible stories or ethnic traditions that were taught to us.

Half the families around me are convincing their kids that some stupid elf doll watches them and reports back to Santa.

Without faulty input, kids can pick up almost anything. It takes them time to develop processes to bypass the faulty input.

not really, but it's not very expensive to procure a device that supports this, either something flashed with ddwrt (or merlin), or something like an ubiquiti, routerOS, or pfSense device.

If you want to optimize for cost (because your cheap), you can just put another consumer router behind your existing router. Any devices behind that router will be able to get to the internet, but this internal subnet will be unrouted for anything trying to get to it, unless you do something to propagate a route.

What is "interest"? I don't think there has been a legitimate way to collect interest exceeding 1.5% in my lifetime, certainly not my working lifetime. There are programs that are really funneling some credit card fees your way, and then there are long term interest bearing vehicles, which still barely keep up with inflation.
