Epic M$ hate bro. There's a new web board forming called "Slash-dot" and I hear they're going to open up a comment section. You should check it out, I think you'd do well there. BTW, do you think there's anything to this "Y2K" problem or what? Either way I'm going to "party like its 1999"! :)

You didn't answer his question. Let me recap:

    You: Socialized/Community medical care sucks
Him: What if you get cancer and can't afford it?
You: Sidestepping cancer, throw up strawman of roof jumping. I shouldn't have to pay for your mistakes.
    Him: Bites on strawman.
    You: You will die.

But you never answered the cancer situation. If we have the technology and resources (and in a first world country, we DO have the resources) in our society to cure the sick, aren't we morally obligated to do so? Sure, there is that ever present threat of health care sucking roof jumpers, but I feel like that's somewhat in a minority.

lollertroller. Read some history. People weren't flocking here from Europe because of the utopian paradise being run over there.. Guess who came over in steerage? Oh, that's right, the peasants.

Anyways, I think the GP's point is that having a strong protective government force allows less essential pursuits aside from "find food, don't get stabbed" like science to flourish. Check out how well things were faring in the middle ages vs. more stable eras.

What is freedom? Freedom from getting stabbed by my neighbor? Freedom to not starve? Freedom to not be raided by barbarians from the North? How are these achieved without threat of retribution or a central justice system?

So if you don't reply to this and post "c6gunner is a fucking idiot" that is an act of censorship? As long as we agree on your absurd definition. I really need you to reply to this, or else I won't be able to get the word out that "c6gunner is a fucking idiot".

Also, perhaps you'd like to consider context with definitions next time. As in "most people are generally talking about government censorship and free speech issues, not the literal definition of censorship".

    Thanks for your time!

Not broadcasting an idea because you don't agree with it is not censorship. Preventing someone else from saying something is censorship. Apple has not prevented the group from saying anything. Are you saying that Apple is morally obligated from publishing everything everyone wants them to say? If I, I a book publisher, reject a book is that censorship?

I don't disagree with your assertion, but when someone says "Creationist" here its a safe assumption that they mean someone from the ID, young earth, Satan hid the dino bones etc. spectrum, not the "A creator sparked the big bang/started up the server we're running on". The OP, however childish, was speaking specifically to the type of creationist that denies scientific evidence rather than working with it.
