I don't think Goldfinger (TM) had a real gold finger, but I bet Goldmember has a real gold member. Somehow most people will know the difference between a finger and a member, gold or not. Of course maybe the JB's secret that MGM is trying to hide.

James check the your email, and you to can have 3 or more inches too.

Have to agree with DaC's comments. I installed Audiogalaxy last Friday night. I did one thing before I did, I researched the app. A quick google search of "Audiogalaxy spyware" gave me the story of Audiogalaxy and the VX2.dll and the most important of all, the link to the version with out it.

Any application designed to pry into a person's life without them explictly say OK, needs to be said now and often. Do not take you boredom to lightly. Personal freedoms however small should never be regarded as a slow news day.

  5. This also goes with the plans to give laptops out. on Has Free Software Saved Any Schools? · · Score: 1

Not only are software licenses, educational uses of computers/apps, and connectivity issues in schools. But with the plans, like the State of Maine to give laptops to schools kids, it makes the selection of a good secure & stable OS important. I believe the issue is best applied by not using a commercial OS but a solid simple embedded OS in a device that can easily be upgraded as each year passes. A small handheld or slim notebook with a set of standard tools that can change with the needs of the student and school instruction. As you move ahead in the grades, the device gets updated to a tool set that the level of teaching requires. Why you can even have the years reading material and notes pre programmed and releasable on a certain time or demand. Add connectivity software to your "standard OS's" and it could be interfaced with anyones home PC regardless of what they use. Forget free or opensource, make the student and school be able to rely on the computer to help them learn/teach and still be usable for more than the next OS release.

  6. Just went through the same crap, came out better on How Not To Ship Computers · · Score: 1

I had a similar experience with UPS. I had ordered a PC from BC to ship to NB ( I'm not going to explain these figure them out ;) ) ordered 5th Sep. arrive 15th Sept. Dropped on the front of the case so hard the case material penetrated the CDR in the top bay. After 3 weeks, UPS picked up....wait....wait....Sorry not covered, packed properly so it was broken before it was shipped, RIGHT! talked to shipper they said UPS said not packed properly. Shipped then mistakenly sips replacement case, remeber the CDR was toast too. Used UPS, broken. Finally UPS ships first PC back to the shipper who fixes it and ships it back using Purolator who... drop it, but at least it was on the back corner and they only make a slight ding in the paint on the corner. it's now Oct 30th and the PC has at least 15,000 miles on it. Now only if I can get the airmiles. Do not use UPS PERIOD. The whole plan the courier companies have is to get your stuff from one place to the other as fast and as cheaply as possible. They don't pick up the pieces if they drop it, they don't care if it's insured, they don't care if it's smashed, only that it went from point A to B.

As for insurance, it's laughable but unless you can match the tire prints that ran over your package to one of thier vehicles you are not going to find it easy to collect.

BTW My PC works very well - Long live AMD.
