    not to be junk and a low enough price to compete against Ipad and the Fires secret sauce...the backing of amazon.com

    Also Amazon.com unlike the other tablet sellers built up gradually from a successful inexpensive e-reader
      instead of just trying to come up with a "Our version of the ipad"

    Broms, your confusing American and European conservatism. In that era European conservatives tended be traditionalists who favored protectionism,pro-state and pro-religion. In the early 20th century Capitalism tended to be in the liberal parties(in Europe "liberal" still refers to what we call classical liberalism).

    Except for the fact that a An AMD llano A8 will blow an ivy bridge out of the water when it comes to games. Plenty of consumers
    who buy $500 budget pcs never open the case.

    Your missing the point "Space the final frontier" . What was shown in TOS was the "Frontier" where the federation civilian government wasnt as present. Starfleet in that respect was like "Space Cavalry" protecting the homesteaders,etc. The high level negotations were done between admirals because UFP and Romulus never established a formal peace, they had a ceasefire and a neutral zone(think Korea DMZ). Episodes like "Journey to Babel" and "Metamorphosis" showed federation diplomats often bossing around starfleet . Generally Kirk would get his orders from his superior at a starbase (some Admiral) which is like a cavalry captain getting his orders from the general at the fort. TOS can really be only truly understood as a western set in space.

Enderle was never paid by SCO for his opinions he was given bogus information and based his flawed opinions on that infomation, and he admits that some of his opinions about open source were wrong. He actually likes BSD...who knew?

    Its not irrelevant. An example of this. Someone who works for Publix may be pro Publix but noone at Publix has asked for him write his stuff and hes not being paid to do so.

    This is not harmless fun "A parent and Facebook friend of Hester’s saw the photo and complained to the school."
    What teachers and employees do reflects upon the schools.

    Teachers and school employees have a higher standard of care especially when posting comments about other employees.
    Schools can and have been sued for failure to act in cases of sexual harassment. The school district had reasonable suspicion.

    They just say the flight that are not vetted cannot enter us airspace. London to havana doesn't really have to enter US airspace.
    Neither does London to Mexico. Its just quicker and more fuel efficient that way. The US wont get that info
    from Cubana airlines so its kinda pointless to ask from the other airlines.

    Any flight to London to Toronto flies over New York and Boston so yeah anyone on a flight that
    flies over the US northeast SHOULD be vetted.

It is likely the chinese government may be willing to adjust its view of the June 4th protesters to call them "sincere if misguided citizens seeking reform" and the ones who sought the crackdown were "hardliners" like Li Peng and use this as an excuse to purge the "red culture" and other hardliners faction from the party.

    Also look and see if Zhao Ziyang gets rehabilitated posthumously.

    Khatami(the closest thing Iran has had to a moderate and the only honestly elected president Iran in the last 40 years) wanted to normalize relations with the US in 2003. Iran hated Al Queda who they view as an enemy and a rival for power. In 2003 iran was willing to do everything the US wanted(including fighting al queda,stopping support of hamas, full cooperation with the IAEA) in exchange for normalized relations and "mutual respect". A detente with the US would have likely strengthened Khatami's power base in Iran.

    It backs terrorist groups in Palestine, Israel, Iraq, Egypt, Turkey,etc,etc. Then again we made nice with Qaddafi before we starting shooting his own people and he blew up a US airliner and bombed a cafe full of US soldiers.

    If you really want to get an idea of bizarre US policy look at Cuba. Cuba hasnt sponsored Terrorism in 40 years and is still embargoed while we did business with Qaddafi and Iran. Americans can visit North Korea a country we are still technically at war with but they cant visit Cuba a country we were never at war with and we are one of their largest trading partners.
