    He while working for the state department gave credibility and verified leaked classified information in violation of state department policies. The fact that it was already out there in the public domain is irrelevant it has not been declassified.
    He may get fired...a bit harsh but perfectly legal.

    He could have turned himself in sometime in the last 4 years in between making videos bragging about his connections to the underwear bomber attempting to murder american citizens and advising Major Hassan that it was okay to assassinate his fellow american soldiers. He could have turned himself in to the government of yemen who did have an arrest warrant out for him. He considered himself at war with the United States, he publicly acted as a member of a group at war with the United States, he was killed as an enemy combatant.

    The only thing the US could have done that it failed to do was strip him of his citizenship for his service in al-queda(enemy armed forces).

    These are kids who are one to 6 years old. They dont know anything about electronic surveillance. Even at the kindergarten level (age 5-6) they dont know the difference between games that are online and games that are offline. At this age they expect an adults to always be around and often will be very upset if they are not. In any event this system merely tells you were the child is not what the child is doing,etc,etc. Furthermore this is being done with the parents consent.

    Dont buy any computer with a Windows 8 logo.

    Its not just linux that is blocked its also unsigned versions of windows.
    Who makes all the generic motherboards we use?...China.

    Do you honestly think the Chinese mobo makers are gonna make motherboards that wont run windows 7 (or pirated Windows 8)
    No microsoft cant block their import... "No sir, these motherboards are made for running linux...not pirated windows!!!"

    In order for an act to rise to IIED. Conduct must be "extreme and outrageous"
    and the standard is a "reasonable person". While isolated words by themselves cant
    hurt someone, persistent harassment certainly can and sufficient harassment can qualify as stalking.
      Im sure the slashdot community can enlighten you on the issue of bullying.

    Its called "Intentional Infliction of emotional distress" its a tort.

    The first amendment does not protect your right to harass, slander, or defame private individuals.

    Why would such behavior be criminalized??? Maybe because the harm(cost to individuals and society) from emotional abuse,harassment, stalking of others
    outweighs the first amendment interest(no redeeming value).

    2) If they can make the argument to a court that having to pay license fees for invalid patents is somehow unjust enrichment(especially

    Actually you cannot copyright or patent "look and feel" in the US. What Apple could
    do is claim the appearance of its products are a trademark also if something is so virtually identical
    in appearance as to confuse the consumer that also could be a copyright violation. Mere look and feel
    is not close enough.

    Xerox claimed that if Microsoft violated anyone copyrights it was theirs(see Xerox PARC) not apples since
    Apple copied features of its mac OS from Xerox(they had even visited Xerox to see it).

    Allow post offices to serve as drop off and pick up points for UPS and Fedex packages. Let the postal clerks offer ups, fedex(and whoever else) or post office shipping by using the post office some shippers could offer lower rates by not having to have their own customer counters.

    Allow post offices to be used for ebillpay and money wiring (let the postal clerks provide western union and moneygram).

    Canada Post has a big thing on the front of its web page "Pay 200 bills online with epost"
    Irish post offices have savings accounts and passport offices.

    As for Saturday delivery we dont require UPS or Fedex to deliver on Saturday why should we require the post office to do so???
    Make saturday for priority and express mail only.

    Lenovo is a chinese company fyi. Korean products used to be junk, now LG is a top of the line tv.

    Exactly FRAND is a community agreement, and when Apple starts acting like its part of a community then it will get access to those patents again.

    Apple is basically trying to reargue the "look and feel" case it lost against Windows.

    Also anything that sells for $1.49 each as live snake food at a pet store apparently does not rate too highly on the
    "concern about cruelty" scale. If the process caused them pain then yes it would be too cruel to use but
    simply turning them transparent is probably not the worst thing that would happen to a lab mouse.

    How does it feel to be a transparent animal? Ask a jellyfish. As long as they dont have to live
    with other regular mice I dont see they would notice the difference.
