I recently found myself in the exact same position and ended up committing myself to night classes at my local city college for the grand total of $79, plus $70 for the text book for Algebra II. This was a 16 week course!
It was three nights a week and i too was busy at work, but told my Boss that i was doing this and that he would need to understand my needs and motivation etc, blah...
I thoroughly enjoyed it and am sitting advanced trig, series and pre calculus this fall. I found that i can do this work myself but that sitting a test at the end of the day gave me the confidence that i had really figured this stuff out.
You may want to teach yourself the easy stuff and then take classes for the more advanced courses. Its worth the time and effort, cos i got an A and now feel like i am not the dumb mathling that i thought i was.

The author of this article from Princeton was reported in the BBC as saying he thinks he can outstrip Moores Law with this new technology!
Some species of genetically modified plants were left to see if they would take over the surrounding natural area in an experiment in the UK. What they found was that the genetically engineered plants were incapable of survival in the wild without farming assistance, they died out within one generation. Something in the engineering process hadn't prepared it for the riguors of competition. Nature knows best.
Survival of the fittest, if the download is any good and i can get anywhere with it then i might come back if i can't then i won't, so don't make me enter rubbish into your database.
The evaluation period should depend on how long you think people will need to make a serious evaluation of your software. This should inspire the company to make it easier to use and thus you can issue shorter evaluations. Feedback loops.
