    I would be willing to bet that a lot of what we do will be around forever due to mirroring sites ( some legit, some not so much ). However as your data ages, and more and more data comes out, the older stuff will be virtually invisible as its crushed under the weight of 'current' data.

    I have found that even when services go away ( like geocities, which had a lot more content than people realized ) at lot of what was there can still be found, if you search long enough, or know where to go.

    How is this illegal? It may be a PITA and uncool, but *every* business tries to convince you to not use their competitors products.

    Unless there is true fraud involved ( pay-offs, lying, coercion, etc ) every company should have the right to win customers

    He's a criminal, not a hero. The ends do NOT justify the means. He should be in a US prison for the rest of his life.

    There are proper procedures to follow if he suspected wrong doing. Stealing and then releasing classified information to the *enemy*, and putting lives at risk, is NOT that process.

    All the 640k jokes aside, I think in this case, its overkill. Once you reach the limit of the average person to notice a difference, its just a waste of money that could go into another part of the product instead.

    Technically, i moved on from apple iOS and went android instead of a iphone 4, but the phone is still used for things such as voip, streaming radio, music and video. I would like for it to continue to do this.

    I got tired of the walled garden environment that was so difficult to break out of. When they killed my fully functioning 3rd party video cable due to a software update, that was the last straw.

    Not that Google is perfect, but its far less restrictive.

    The same way they do retina transplants ( which i also think is still experimental, but it does happen )

    I doubt anyone alive today will get benefit from this research, but its worth while and will help generations down the road.

    2 - Trust in the authorities to do what they say they will do. "its just for this research project"
