And what is wrong with doing it? Well, its a big difference going from a texutual description of the size and value of your house and a nice clear photograph of where every bush, lamp, and door lock is. Or what valuables that can be seen thru the windows with a zoom lens.
its not paranoid to ask why someone wants to have this level of detail of a private residence.
To get close enough to photograph one of my houses would take at least a 20 minute drive in a 4x4, across *private* property. If they try that, i get to shoot them as trespassers.
I also agree this is fishy. While i do realize its legal to stand in the street and take pictures of anything you can see, including people's private belongings, perhaps this legalty should be reconsidered. Whatever happened to 'expectations of reasonable privacy in public'?
Forget 'interfering with a 'religion' ( scientology being one is debatable in the first place ) I didn't know picketing and voicing your opinion was now illegal...
Microsoft has a directly competing product, and while it may not be intentional, ( if it was, they would be sued yet again by the FTC ) they arent going to rush out and fix the problem.
This is why god created the BSD license. It avoids all this nonsense.
( and no, i wasn't trying to start a discussion if which is *better*, only wanted to point out that with a BSD license these sorts of issues wouldnt be )
Hey.. thats not a bad idea.
Never been involved in urban combat have you?
But its still fishy.

Wasnt there a TV show called 'quark' or something 20 some years ago that addressed this problem, in a humorous sort of way?
Why not do it for real?
The feds will claim 'sure its optional, but we will hold the taxes you sent us hostage. Have a nice day'.
Its worked for other things too.
As i said, "revenge is a bitch" and i would.

Well duh.. that is what large coporations and governments do..
If you had paid more attention in history class this woudnt be such a surprise.
When it gets too bad, people revolt, and we start the process all over again.
This would be rather hard to enforce, unlike some other 'banning' sentences.
Revenge is a bitch.
I would find a way to take them down hard and hurt them bad. Jail me for pointing out a problem? That wouldn't fly.
Do you even need to ask this question?
Microsoft has a directly competing product, and while it may not be intentional, ( if it was, they would be sued yet again by the FTC ) they arent going to rush out and fix the problem.
Is "scope creep", caused mainly by incompetent project managers.
That doesnt mean its stronger..
You dont do much business do you.
PDF is pretty much a standard format these days.

Mine has wifi built in.. any way for me to get into this deal too?
Or something like that anyway.. Oh wait, superbowl is on TV.......
Does it even matter? For most people there are no other choices and they will just accept being screwed.
I dont expect apple to ever support 'generic' PCs for OSX.
If they do, they lose control of the hardware and ablity to keep everything stable. The exposure for them is far to great i believe.
And thats a problem, how?
I wonder what product they got keys for? ( which im sure have been deactivated already )
Pissing off little customers.. The new way of Microsoft.
And why be suprised they only cater to large companies? That is where the money is.
And how do i avoid ever going there. Geeesh. Why dont they just succeed from the union? They have already succeeded from reality.
No, i think it will be enough people in 5-10 years to consider it still alive. ( 20, sure.... who knows what we will be doing in 20 )
They said that about DOS too, but you would be surprised how many people use it ( and often dont even realize it )
But, time will tell.
Its not dead yet. Just in serious peril.. We will still be using floppies in 10 years.
