The batteries in my 41 ( showing my age here ) died on question #1 of a rather major physics exam. I borrowed something from the instructor ( i think a Casio... ) and wasn't able to add 2+2 consistently.Tried to adjust to the shock, and never did fully adjust.. Even in high school i used a 32E when everyone else had a TI55..When RPN is that ingrained in your head you 'think' that way and its hard to change to something less efficient on a dime. ( i also programmed in forth.. so a double whammy for thinking/ process )
Thankfully I ended up getting permission to take the test over the next day ( i had been on the deans list for 3 years, never missed one single question on an exam, so they knew it was the tools and not lack of understanding of the subject )
I would suggest looking at lesser model HPs, take the list in to the school and ask them which ones would be acceptable.
I own the line from the pole to my house. Much as i own the water line to the street, and sewer. ( and at the old house, i was *forced* to pay to have both hooked up, even if i didn't want it or use either.. later just to be forced to also use their service as the code changed and made septic systems illegal..)
The War on the Internet is as much about creating an environment of fear that will justify increased spending, as it is cracking down on the young smart kids who are the real threat to the corporate para-State.
Just like the 'war on drugs' is. And people get in line willingly to support it.
Hydrogen storage will also an option. Use excess power to split water, store the H, and use it in a fuel cell on the dark days. Then flip the powerco the bird:)
Sure, it will take a while to break even, but your hydrogen will store indefinitely, is compact and is portable. Your flywheel isn't really any of those. I am not saying flywheels are useless as they do have their place ( we even have one in our data center for the 'transition' phase between loss of mains to generator power up ), but i don't see it practical for the longer term in the home consumer market .
Well, its better than looking at a simple picture. Most people will never make it to DC to see the original, protected behind glass. Even fewer get to physically touch it.
I still remember when Sears ruled the retail world, and we looked forward to the xmas catalog each year.. Wwhen K-mart was still called Kresge, and we would go once in a while to the in-house food grill.. And Woolworth wasn't just a memory but an actual store...
You sir are incapable of following rather simple directions.
With that out of the way, why would i even want to debate your inaccuracies and complete misunderstanding of what happened, and why? ( And apparently an inability to read as well. Or at least comprehend simple sentences )
Just because you are wiling to use sub-par flea-market hardware, pirate the software, and deal with all the problems, does not mean a corporation wants to waste resources on stupid stuff too.
So we hide child abuse words today ( regardless of who it might HELP ) So what words will be forbidden tomorrow? Drug terms? Firearms? Patriotism?
Now they are *actively* restricting, if they let one slip by, can i sue ?
Because it often costs obscene amounts money to develop it and people want a return on their investment.
No really, stupid idea, waste of time.

Today its not useful. That is how most technology starts. Great to see you are so limited in your thinking.

Ooo its the feds. cant install this.. etc.
Really, its the FCC, they are the least of our concerns. the other agencies already have your content, so why bother worrying about these guys.
If i produce power and give it back to the system they should be paying ME, not the other way around. WTF.
Its not hard to avoid not feeding back into the "system", but what sort of nonsense is this where you get penalized for trying to be a good citizen.
Go back to school. Idiot.
Having the source isn't the same as it being open.
You can steal the source to windows.. but that doesn't change the fact its closed source. Its a licensing issue, not availability.
I suggest you read the Constitution and its intent, idiot.
Do we have to kill everything just to satisfy our curiosity?

Different world today.
Restricting my rights is not 'getting something done'.
While i think its pointless and will only hasten their demise, at least they are trying to save themselves.
You have more confidence than i. I do however hope you are correct and they let it slide into non-existence.
Like that matters, as they wont let an anti-freedom law expire in the current totalitarian environment out there in Washington.
I never would have thought that possible. Captain Obvious hard at work i see.
Remember tho, its all part of a plan to scare people into staying away from this technology and not advancing it.

Support.
Portability.
Accessibility.
For starters.
