This is typical anti-company behavior by the federal government.
Regardless of the discussion if they are right or wrong, Google was not bothered in the past, so apparently they pissed someone off at the federal level and now they are out to shut them down. ( and i'm sure extort them on the ride ).
I bet they were asked to do something way out of line and declined and now will pay the price with complete shut down. But that is just theory.
No. But that is what an e-ink reader is for. Since color e-ink isn't a real option yet, LCD is used for tech books. You cant read a tech book on a tiny screen unless you want to zoom and pan all the time, thus my statement about being at least 8".
As long as you are sitting still, and do not hold up traffic when the light turns green i don't see a problem with a person using a device at the light.
But if you don't drop it as soon as you move, you should be ticketed. If you don't move when the light turns green, again, a ticket.

You can shove your nonsense ( and a paddle ) up your ass. I don't accept any 'commoner' name, created by the common folk.

But others may continue to say ping-pong
And continue to be uneducated idiots if they do so. The game is not ping-pong, and they are not welcome in the sport if they cant even call it the right thing.
That's funny, i also have worked in that field and ours was hooked up.
I also know that all the ones on the street corner are active and being record. Not long ago we used it to identify ( using drivers record images ) of some moron that was shooting people on the sidewalk during a rather large event one evening. ( wasn't even daylight )
But if you want to think you know something and can 'dodge cameras', feel free.
You keep on believing that. And be sure to smile to the automated facial recognition system attached to that camera on the ( every ) street corner. ( and building, ATM, cash counter, police car, 2/3 of the people around you posting pictures on facebook..... )
I have to disagree as i saw it with my own 2 eyes.
1 - An A/V cable no longer worked. ( a jailbreak and buying an app off cydia fixed that ) 2 - A 'boombox' adapter thingie no longer charged, and it did before, 3 - A friends car audio cable stopped working.
I think it it was between iOS 3 to 4, but i could be wrong.
Can be used for good and evil. Its just the nature of humanity.
And users agreed to it as part of the terms to get the service for free.

And you call yourself a nerd.
While everyone misses the science. Sad state of affairs of the so called 'geek'.
Its still you that invented it. I don't see a problem with telling people 'hey, its mine and im first'
If you want to keep it secret you don't even apply for a patent.
Not being able to tell people what you have before you tell the government? i guess that is so they can keep the creme of the crop on ideas.
No, i didn't RTFA... Are they going to refuse to run self-signed at all, or can you opt out of the blockage as the end user?
I'm OK with a warning;"hey do you trust this?" and a choice to say yes, but complete blockage is uncool.
Without wealthy people you wont get your research for 'everyone else to use'.
Wealth cant be accumulated via legal means and we just have to assume it was due to illegal means by default if you become wealthy?
F-ing liberal
Its all going to be unusable here soon anyway. It almost is now.
You can pay if you like. I choose not to.

When they have a monopoly.. Which they don't.
Apple did this to me on my old 3gs years ago. Cables worked fine one day, update, then they stop.
They can kiss my butt. FCC should be involved.
