  1. 2nd biggest flub of our founders on SCOTUS Refuses To Hear Tenenbaum Appeal · · Score: 1

Allowing the supreme court to pick and choose what they want to rule on was a HUGE mistake. They can let things stand without taking a stand..

Even if they were being paid off to rule one way or another, at least there would be a record and be easier to see a pattern to be investigated. This way there is nothing.. But cowards.

Sure, there will be some people left coding, but in a practical sense the days are limited that makes its a viable career choice.

For most people canned software is 'good enough' and RAD tools are getting to the point even a non programmer can create something usable on modern hardware. ( great, no, but usable ).

And of course, god help you if you want to buy software or music not in the 'store'....

How about you get out of the way before the industrialists roll over you. "Green" is not the future, no more than it was the past.

Going down this path will end Apple. Which is too bad, as i have always liked apple products and own many ( all the way back to the ][ ).

Now, while i don't agree with changes for the sake of change, they did make the decision to go in another direction and there really isn't a need to keep spending money on legacy.

Legacy support is part of Microsoft's problem that has held them back. But to be fair, if you leave existing platforms in the dust every time you come out with new product, you wont have customers for long.. I am still surprised that Apple pulled it off with the 86k to PPC and then again with PPC to intel.. We bitched and moaned at first but did adapt.
