    like what if my IP range gets blocked becuase I have a user with an open relay on there?

    I don't think any DNSbls would block your range just for an open relay, but they would list the IP that the open mail relay lives on.

    They are not going work well. Some spam has to be transmitted and delivered before it can be added to the system. Once the spam is recieved at the mail server, the spammer considers it delivered; he will still get paid.

    Add blocking at an IP level on the mail server or router for better results.

    Every time there is a bug in a MS product the Slashdot janitors fall over themselves to be the first to say: "MS is buggy crap! Yay Linux!" But, when it is an OSS product that has the bug, they are quick to blame the people reporting the bug. Doesn't that strike you as odd?

    Ok Slashbots. Start spinning this to show how OSS is awesome cause a bug was found. When it is a MS bug, it is the worst bug to ever exist, but when it is an OSS product, it is a trivial issue.

    maybe YOU don't take boycotts seriously, but many others do.

    Taco and pals don't. How many times have we seen a front page story ranting about the evils of *AA and why we should not buy DVDs only to see Taco wet himself over the new DVD of 'Happy Super Mecha Bot PooPoo' the next day? It is hard to take a boycott seriously when the people calling for it won't even follow it.

    If you take it seriously, then 'Bravo!', I am glad that some people practice what they preach.

    And these aren't people who "come into this country", they're citizens of the US.

    Are you trying to say the guy they just caught didn't come from Pakistan. That sounds like 'coming into the counrty' to me.
    Many of the people stopped at the border are not US citizens and citizens who are in a foriegn military are nolonger considered US citizens. But, please, enlighten us: What would YOU do to those who are comming to this country with the intent of killing hundreds, if not thousands, of your fellow Americans?

    Also, please point out where I said anything about smallpox or how I can yell with text, or retract those statements.

    I'd be more terrified of 3 terrorists wandering around this country detonating dirty bombs. As far as the Law&Order thing, we aren't talking about 3 kids who were caught swiping gumdrops from the corner store. We are talking about people who want to come into this country and kill as many people as they can.

    That is why I am wondering why Jamie said 'many'. I can only recall 3 or 4 countries who have announced going all out open source. Actually, I know why he said 'many', it is because this is a linux site. If he said 'a few' it would not have been as big of a deal. But 'many', well that could be hundreds.

    What are the numbers there? How many use Linux? How many use MS Windows? I would guess that, for now, Linux == few and MS == many. But, I would like to see real numbers.
