  1. Re:I hope Google shit on ebay on eBay Looking for Allies Against Google · · Score: 1

When I sell stuff on ebay I generally wait for the buyer to leave feedback before I do.

I do this to make sure they get the item and everything is OK. The transaction isn't done until then. If they receive the item and there are issues then they should be resolved before I leave feedback.

The problem with unions is that they create a virtual monopoly on labor. You don't get the right price - you get monopoly labor pricing. The result is outsourcing (or otherwise reducing labor costs) to remain competitive or going out of business.

What we really need is more transparency on what people are being paid. I have no idea what my peers are making so I don't know if I'm being paid fairly. Capitalism mostly works when enough info is available.

I just read through all the highly modded posts and I can't believe you guys. PCs DO suck.
They are hard to use. They crash. They are confusing.
There are all kinds of 'hidden' things that are important (you need a firewall, wireless security, etc.).
I can't believe everyone is whining that people need to be responsible and learn how to use these pieces of crap.
What we need is an easier to use computer that is more like an appliance. Someone is eventually going to figure out how to do this and get very, very rich.

Would it be helpful to do 'open source' style work on the hardware side for Ogg?

What would help? Decoder chip design? Programming for available hardware (ARM, XScale)? Reference designs with available hardware?

Exercise is key. I added wrists to my weight lifting routine and haven't had any problems since. My personal theory is that the resulting increased blood flow and strengthened muscles are better able to recover from the strains of typing all day.
