Officer I dont know what happened, I was driveing down the road and my windsheild turned blue with a bunch of words on it. Then there was big dent on my fender, but no other cars were around.
If the students are anything like me, when you pull the plug on the Internet; they will just play solatre or minesweeper. Or they could even load quake3. So telling the students to turn off the laptops during lecturs is the only solution that will work.
Thank god for the recovery console in Win2k. This has saved me so much time over doing parrallel.
I once knew a guy that on any NT server he setup, he would create a extra ~700MB partition and install NT on it. Talk about a real time saver.
You are correct in that they have a digital output, but for optical digital output a daughter card is required. I bought mine from ebay for about 25usd. But think of cable cost if you are going to use optical, a 5 meter cable cost me about 90usd. I would have used coax, but I only have one coax input on my receiver, the other 5 are optical.
It it really very simple, you just forget something that you already know, and the new knowledge can take it place. Just be careful what you forget, Like that time I took the wine makeing class and I forgot how to drive. Doh!

I second Linux Journal. Now only if my mail man would quit steeling it, I could start reading it again.

$20usd for 5 meter or ~15ft cable. Prices must of droped alot since built my setup. I paid about $12 for a 1ft cable.
