Do Sun's Office sales drop because a household pirates MS Office? How does piracy affect smaller groups trying to gain market share?

Does Sun lose money when I use OpenOffice? Yes. Does M$ lose money when I use OpenOffice? Yes. Maybe free software should be illegal too! After all, no one makes money, and companies can only have the potential to lose money.

And "lose money" should be potential money.

I disagree, if I could run my Windows-only programs (that I need and do not have good alternatives) on Linux, I would switch in a no time. Yes, there is emulation, but it is nowhere near the same thing as having a native app.

Not sure how well this works, but you could always just shred that credit card and forget about calling them - that is, after you pay off your bill. Not sure how good this works, but after a set amount of months of inactivity, do they not cancel your card? And having your credit card in the shredder, it don't really see a way that someone else may "steal" it. You are, after all, not using your card at all.

You can turn that off in Opera Prefrences menu (CTRL+P):go into "Start and Exit" and select "Start With No Windows". Works for me, although I am using version 6.01 (upgrading after I submit this).

Yes, this is true - but you will only have about 2 to 3 weeks left on that POP account. Yahoo is now charging for POP access and will disable your 'free' POP access soon enough anyway.

WRONG! Half-Life uses the Q1 engine (heavily modified). Only a netcode tweak of a few lines came from Q2 (which was incorporated into QW, I think later on). This has been said many times in id software .plan updates, but for some reason, people do not listen :)

You should not believe everything websites spew forth :) It's still hard to believe so many websites got that wrong when HL came out... It's not even that hard to figure out, just look at the files HL installs on your system: all of which use the same extensions as their Q1 equivalents (.dem file for example).

Let us repeat: Half-Life does NOT use Q2 code, it uses Q1 code!

Seriously, most European countries have two Christmas days (plus Christmas Eve) for a total of three days break minimum. The extra day is the whole "Second day of Christmas" (I'm sure you heard that in a oh-so-famous Christmas song).
