    Oh, aren't you clever! If I support medical marijuana, you reach for the standard drug-war propaganda trope that I must be a pot smoker myself, thus invalidating my position! Truly, I am undone by your rhetorical brilliance!

    But, as it turns out, I've never smoked anything in my life, and my position on marijuana proceeds from my commitment to the non-aggression principle, so fuck you,

    It is clearly a states' rights issue, because there is no constitutional authority whatsoever for the war on drugs, and it is the duty of the states to interpose their power to protect their people from the usurpations of the federal government. Go read Jefferson and Madison and educate yourself on this rather important point of law.

    Obama's executive record features some of the most and largest legislation ever passed by any president.

    It apparently escaped your notice that it's not the prerogative of the president to pass legislation. That's OK, he doesn't seem to know it either, what with him deciding that he has the power to imprison or kill people on nothing but his own say-so.

    The volume of documentation and the quality of it demonstrated Apple had planned for 3rd party app development all along...

    Kudos to the tech pubs team at Apple, but I'm afraid you're mistaken. At launch time, there was no intention to allow third-party apps on the phone. It took quite a lot of convincing to get SJ to allow it.

    Objective C 2.0 has garbage collection, not automated reference counting.

    Currently, it has both. We're in the process of moving from GC to ARC, since GC left much to be desired.

    That's a secondary problem. It comes from the fact that the congress has usurped vast amounts of power to grant economic favors to their cronies that were never granted by the constitution.

    I don't see why greed ought to be the thing to pick to base your society on.

    Perhaps you should have a look at the historical record, and find out what happened in countries that claimed to be suppressing greed. They racked up a pretty hefty body count.

    Somalia's government ground them into abject poverty. Since that government collapsed, their situation has been improving, but they're digging out of a very deep hole.

    Terrorists are looking for soft targets. If there's no security on aircraft, they'll attack aircraft.

    If they just want to cause mayhem, there's no target softer than the massive crowd of people that the TSA forces to assemble in serpentine lines on the way to the obedience ritual. Attacking people on the ground in an airport will get them just as much attention as bringing down an airplane would.
