    Might want to brush up on your history a bit. They won despite the paper money, which was a major hindrance. Google for the phrase "not worth a continental". When the constitution was written, the memory of America's first hyperinflation was very fresh in their minds, which is why the gold and silver clause in the constitution forbids fiat currency.

    current battery systems suck for the edge cases.

    I'm convinced that battery cars will prove to be the transitional stage between gasoline and hydrogen. Toyota and Honda are the biggest makers of hybrids, and they're both betting on hydrogen, big time.

    Toyota's HFC car takes three minutes to refuel for a 300 mile range. That beats any existing battery charging technology all to hell.

    Apple's P/E ratio is only 17.6. FB's is 40.6. I'd say Apple is undervalued, and FB is a bubble stock.

    I agree that Tesla is a bubble stock, but Musk isn't cooking his books. The shares are up there because of wishful thinking on the part of the investors, not because anyone's lying to them.

    For my part, I plan to make a pile of money shorting Tesla whenever Apple enters their market.

    Have you seen it? It looks like any of the half-assed knock offs of the original Apple "Aqua" UI that were floating around the web ten years ago. Not an exact copy, but close enough to see what they were trying and failing to do.

    I doubt that even their apps that will attempt to copy Tesla's screen, will come close to it.

    Copy? Of course not. Tesla's UI, while better than average for the auto industry, is far below Apple's standards.

    Audi is not a threat to Tesla.

    Audi's not, Apple is. An Apple car will match Tesla's performance (since that's intrinsic to electric drivetrains), and they will greatly exceed Tesla's user experience.
