    You're aware that the last ice age hasn't ended yet, right?

    That's a matter for debate. If you define the end of an ice age as the point where the ice is at a minimum, then you're right. If you define it as the point where most of Europe and North America aren't buried under a kilometer or two of ice, it ended about 12 thousand years ago.

    I'm getting 90 megabits LTE service at the moment from my "ghetto" T-Mobile unlimited data service which costs me $30 less per month than I was paying AT&T on my original grandfathered data plan.

    So, how can Verizon win me as a customer? By insulting all of T-Mobile's customers? Yeah, not happening.

    It has a much poorer energy density by weight and volume than jet fuel.

    Volume yes, weight no. There's a reason why hydrogen was used in the first stage of the Saturn V.

    Nope. When you burn anything in an internal combustion engine, more than half of the energy from the reaction is lost as exhaust heat. If hydrogen fuel cells can be made with a similar power to weight ratio, then the ability to capture 70% or more of the chemical energy of the 2H2+O2 -> 2H20 reaction beats jet engines all to hell. A fuel cell/electric fan drive train would be far cheaper, require less maintenance, and much lower noise than today's aircraft.

    I'm convinced that battery cars will be replaced by fuel-cell cars. Electric drive trains have some compelling advantages, but you get all of that plus range and fast fueling with hydrogen. Toyota's HFC car can refill in three minutes, and delivers over 400 miles of range.

    I would say electric cars are more of a status symbol for people who want to pretend they are better than you.

    Or people who really like high acceleration and don't need long-range capability. My friends who drive them don't show the attitude you're complaining about.
