Left and right are distractions. As Robert Heinlein once said, the only political division that matters is between those who crave power over others, and those who have no such desire. Hillary, Bernie, and Trump are all on the same team.
Yeah, I'm sure they're leaving their third-world shitholes because of a 1 degree increase in average temperature. Couldn't be anything to do with wanting to make a living in in a functioning economy.
At the turn of the century, 1900, 80% of Americans worked on farms. Today, it's about 4%. The mechanization of agriculture didn't result in 76% unemployment, it freed people to do other work. The availability of labor that was previously tied up in farming allowed incredible increases in productivity and our standard of living in the 20th century.
Libertarians do support deceptive business practices in that they are opposed to all means possible for impeding them.
How sad that a bootlicker like you can't imagine anything better than the status quo to regulate deception in the market. Tell me, how good a job did the SEC do in protecting people from Bernie Madoff?
The reason Apple saw a YoY revenue decline is because of the so called "peak iPhone",
Nope. The reason there was a revenue decline is because in the year-ago quarter, there was a spike of orders due to pent-up demand from backlogs in the previous quarter. In effect, two quarters' worth of demand was sold in a single quarter.
The fact remains that Apple's sales and profits this quarter are still far and away the biggest in the industry.
I've got a Dyson vacuum, and it's been working fine for me for about five years now. I've also got one of their fans, and it's quieter than any conventional fan I ever used.
The government is trying to coerce the defendant to divulge information that can be used against him. Whether spoken, typed, or written in crayon, the defendant has no duty to comply. By jailing him for asserting his right against self-incrimination, the judge is violating his civil rights under color of law.
If we ever have a functioning justice system in this country again, that judge should be looking at some serious jail time of his own.
Do you really have to jump straight into aggressive responses?
Have to? No. I do so because I choose to, and your approval is neither required nor is it sought.

Who's debating? I'm mocking you.

Pao is still operating under the delusion that she's no longer a VC due to sexism.
I doubt that she ever actually believed that. It's just the tactic she used to try to scare Kleiner-Perkins into paying her to fuck off.
-jcr
What's sad is that the knee jerk sexist responses here only prove Pao's point.
Go fuck yourself, snowflake. We're talking about Pao, not women in general.
-jcr
there just might be some discrimination happening in the tech world?
Of course there is! How else would Ellen Pao ever have gotten a job with a tech company?
-jcr
..and if you do make a mistake and hire someone like her, can her useless ass as soon as you know she's damaging your business.
-jcr
Don't the SJWs rail against people who fuck anyone with a penis?
-jcr
You obviously have not looked into Bernie's history.
Yes I have, snowflake, but you apparently haven't. That geriatric commie rat bastard is on the record praising the likes of Castro and Chavez.

If you believe that plumbing doesn't require cognitive abilities, you're a fucking ignoramus.

Oh, fuck off. Libertarians don't support deceptive business practices.

If I were, I might be offended by this.

It may surprise you to learn that nobody cares about your weight or how much you eat.
-jcr
it's not remotely as simple as that
Fat-asses tell me that all the time. Thin people disagree.

You have the cause and effect reversed. You're not inferior because you use Windows, you use Windows because you're inferior.

Kid, I'm not going to quit signing my posts, no matter how many times you throw a tantrum. Get some serious professional help.

This would annoy me if I had any reason to run Windows. Thankfully, that's not the case.

A bit too rich for my blood. I'd consider getting one of these if the price were around $150 or so.

There are, however, far more small-government Republicans than there are small-government Democrats.
There haven't been any small-government democrats since the FDR regime turn the democrats into a fascist organization.
