Yeah well, what about something in between? Fire people in order of how badly they need to be fired,
That's what Cisco does, they do regular bottom 5% cuts where those who are ranked in the bottom 5% on their performance reviews are let go. Groups that are performing well and are full of talented people are sometimes allowed to take their 5% from open positions, but only with the approval of an SVP or above. (at least this was the practice when I was there in the early 2000's)
Copyright most certainly applies to design files, just like you can run into issues printing photographs proving ownership of the image you would need to prove ownership of the design file you are submitting before they'll use it to make something for you.
The per piece rental would make more sense, HD charges your card at rental time the full cost of the tools replacement as a deposit and I'm not sure how many people would have $2,800 open on their card. Of course then they'll run into copyright issues, so probably best just to sell the units.
Custom cases for phones/electronics projects (Raspberry Pi comes to mind), prototypes of all sorts of things (custom rings is one I saw in their twitter feed, heck I read a story about a surgeon in the UK who used 3D printing to make models of bones and organs to practice surgery procedures on saving several thousand pounds and several weeks vs traditional hand made models.
Lol, what's funny about that is if they like rock or electronic music it's highly likely the source of the music is CL, many instruments including the Korg Triton use CL chips (in the case of the Triton it was the same chip as in one of the high end SB Live cards).
Who cares if the pilot was the only one onboard, a crash of a full sized helicopter full of fuel is a significant risk to everyone in the vicinity. As to the charges, sure there's expungement (though in some states you can only expunge convictions, not arrests), but unfortunately for these guys they ran to the media so there's a more or less permanent record.
So when are reckless endangerment charges going to be filed against the pilot? He intentionally steered his craft towards an object that they admit through their own filings presented a risk of a crash.
Doubtful, there are all sorts of housekeeping steps the brain needs to perform while you sleep, like moving short term memories into long term memory. Failure to perform those steps eventually leads to insanity.
Four years of tax not paid or properly checked (if they were earning what they claim, a lot of tax would be due - if they were lying about it, they'd not want to pay that tax).
They were based in Spain, tax dodging is the second national sport after football.
Non-competes are BS in almost all cases (if your title doesn't have a C* or *VP you probably shouldn't be asked to sign one), but as you say a non-solicitation agreement and nondisclosure agreement are probably fine for anyone dealing with sales or large amounts of confidential information.
Same with my first generation Toshiba 1080P LCD, I used the default blue skin for Mediacenter and it eventually left a red ghost that made me move it to the basement for the kids and replace it with a newer LED LCD that auto detects a static screen and turns off after 15 minutes.
Not in Ohio it doesn't, we have statewide franchises, and according to this almost half the states have state wide franchises. This is mostly because Verizon and AT&T wanted to make their lives easier when rolling out FIOS/U-Verse, but for the most part they'd apply to anyone willing to put in the paperwork.
How is a 1.5% bump in profit for Cisco or 2% for UPS a rounding error? Most CFOs would kill to find an extra 1.5%, or put another way it's one fewer round of layoffs to meet Wallstreet's latest estimate.
The Bay Trail devices are due to low memory, the in ram footprint of 64bit Windows is quite a bit higher when you only have 1-2GB and a cheap flash drive that you want to avoid swapping to at all costs.
I don't care about touch apps, I want all the good under the hood changes to go along with Windows Server 2012/R2, right now a lot of cool features only work if the clients are upgraded to Windows 8 and due to the UI screwups we can't possibly afford to do that so most of the best stuff on the server side goes unused. I'll probably start a major server OS upgrade push once 9 ships, we're already under an EA with software assurance so there's no additional cost for us upgrade once the training barrier goes away.
You seem to be ignoring the fact that Google has already done well over 1m miles of real world testing with their system without any problems caused by their recognition.
They cant make anything decent anymore, and even the highest performance car made, the Corvette, is an utter joke to the rest of the world.
Really?
$64,000 question - what's it like to drive?
In a word: stunning. What the 'Vette team has managed to achieve with the C7 is nothing short of astonishing. You basically get three cars in one. It will comfortably cruise all day, mopping up bumps, sipping fuel and generally letting you go about your business without getting in the way. You'd be happy commuting in it. Equally it has the performance - and luggage space under the rear hatch - to handle long journeys with ease. But the really special bit is, without touching anything more than the chassis set up dial, you can take it to a track and have hours of fun, too.topgear

Forget all previous Corvette generations - here is the new one. It brings the best Corvette ever produced. A U.S. superstar. A piece of American identity. But most of all she is after 60 years of intense maturity and evolution of one of the most stunning sports car in the world.autozeitung via google translate
It's not even the BOM that it adds to, it's regulatory red tape (cable labs requires a boatload of documentation and takes forever to certify devices, I remember reading the blogs from the guys at Ceton when they were working through the certification process and thinking how much of a nightmare it was). The delay in time to market and the cost in personnel to guide the product through the process just isn't worth it for the.1% of folks interested or even knowledgeable about the feature.
Then figure treble damages as a punitive fine (obviously not if they settle, but if they're found criminally liable) and it starts to add up to real money, even to companies of this size.

+1 Funny, I hope.

Florida and Connecticut are where P&W does the engine assembly, parts probably come from all over the US and NATO countries.

Lol, I was more referring to actual job responsibility than title per se.

Cost of capital for well rated companies is around 4.25%, at most it will add a few months to the roi if you're looking at 6-7 years otherwise.

Try taking those gambles with the toy systems that Google produces.
You mean like the billions of Android powered devices out there?

They also usually provide serial over lan which allows CLI control of both Linux and Windows (Yes, Windows supports serial console, has since 2003).
