LOL, MS trying to push everyone to WinRT will have the same result as Intel trying to push everyone to Itanic, they'll spend billions into trying to develop a market for a product nobody wants and end up eating crow. The only reason the market puts up with Intel and Microsoft is that they have the ubiquitous platform that supports a several decade long legacy train, without support for all that legacy software you're suddenly opened up to alternatives and the Wintel rent seekers are not at the top of anyones list. I say this as someone who currently earns their income supporting an enterprise windows shop.
Not really, we had 180 DIMM's left over after an upgrade a few years ago. We upgraded all our VMWare hosts from 72GB to 144GB, 18 DIMM's times 10 hosts equals 180 DIMM's. The cost of 8GB DIMM's when we purchases the server, ~$1800, 20 months later when we did the upgrade $400. The cost to upgrade all ten hosts was down to the point where it was about equal to buying two new host with licensing but it gave us an additional ten hosts worth of capacity. We ended up using some of the leftover DIMM's for upgrading all of the next years worth of physical server purchases to max ram and the remainder went to our computer recycler.
What planet do you live on? Steam hasn't had a title delay in a long time, in fact due to pre-download it's generally the fastest way to get a game on launch day because it's already on your computer ready to run it just needs the key to become valid to allow access.
Android IS a really modified linux distro, I run Debian under chroot on my ICS phone (I wanted a useful command line for some hacking I was doing and there was no combination of partial GNU ports I could find that gave me the tools I normally use so when I found linux installer standard I was very happy)
The problem with midwest steel wasn't largely dumping (there was some, but it was a fairly small percentage of the market), it was the fact that most of the steel plants were 40+ years old with few updates and they were competing with more modern plants using more efficient techniques and more automation. Steel consumption also was on the decline, from 1982-2008 the US only consumed about 45M metric tons of steel per year, the same amount as we did in 1941 and about half what we did in 1972. Today we produce about as much steel as we did in 1974 but we do it with less than 1/3rd the workforce, modern mills just aren't as labor intensive as the old ones and while that's bad if you're a worker unable to find a replacement job at comparable wages it's good for the economy overall.
Iran is a LOT more likely than North Korea, if we attack NK Soul gets leveled, we have no such qualms with Iran (until they get a warhead small enough to fit on one of their missiles that can reach Israel).
It depends on what you consider China "has", if it's just the minerals in the sovereign territory of China then 30% is probably a bit inflated, if you consider it explored proven reserves owned/controlled by China or Chinese companies it's probably understated.
First the James Webb Space Telescope is on the edge of being chopped from the budget, second even if it's not chopped it looks like it will be 2020+ before it launches, and third it's only better in certain parts of the spectrum. Not only that but the JWST can only observe so much of the universe at a time, having multiple mirrors collecting data means we're more likely to pick up interesting data. As to the moon idea, sure once we have a heavy launch vehicle with a non-trivial lunar orbit injection capability that will be a fine idea, but the only thing even planned in that class right now is Falcon XX/Falcon X Heavy which uses an engine that hasn't yet been designed.
What?!? There are CFL's with a CRI of 95, where is the LED bulb that competes? Oh, that's right they're the same, because they use the same phosphor based system to create full spectrum light.
As far as the use in cans, both LED's and CFL's have the same problem with overheating ballasts, unless you have DC power run to your LED can light you'll run into the same power and a similar lumen ceiling that you do with CFL's in that application.
I didn't even realize the xbox 360 had an IR port. I guess I'll have to program my receivers remote to control the xbox on DVD function mode =)
I should still be able to control it through the Kinect if I want since there's no reason for it to not work (given that third parties have figured out how to do media control with the Kinect it's obviously possible and something people have asked for).
Use Google Voice for your contact number, no need for a physical phone. It still doesn't do e911, but I doubt that tablets will support e911 even after VoLTE is the norm due to it being such a niche use case.
If the company has any physical assets within the jurisdiction of the courts you can petition the court to demand payment and if they fail to respond the judge can and often will send the sheriff to seize those assets to satisfy the judgement. If the company has no presence in your location then the general solution is to turn it over to a collections agency, most companies will settle with a collections agency quickly as they don't want to have their creditors apprised of them not making good on obligations.
No, you can be arrested and held on criminal disturbing the peace charges for using fighting words. As to advocating the violent overthrow of the US government see Dennis v. United States and Yates v. United States.
Generally a low level officer, aka store or regional manager for a retail outlet or the equivalent for other business types. The courts will generally be more favorable towards the corporation if the person representing them had some part in the dispute with the customer so they can offer some insight into what the corporation has done to avoid the case taking the courts time.
Why do you think it takes 40 hours? Go down to court, file the paperwork, should take 30 minutes then show up on your appointed date and time which should take under 4 hours. Like I said for $100 it doesn't make sense but for around $500 it makes sense for anyone making under ~$250k a year which is almost everyone.
If a company cheated you out of $100 just go to small claims court, no lawyer needed and in most states no lawyers allowed. Of course filing fees and your time make small claims court mostly a waste for $100, but for say $500 it's an option.
Yes, in both AT&T Mobility LLC v. Conception and CompuCredit Corp. v. Greenwood the court has reinforced that you may enter into a contract which gives away your right to a jury of your peers for civil matters. Only in cases of outright fraud, either in the creation of the agreement or in the arbitration process will the courts intervene.
~6 KWhr/m^2/day on average, or ~250W/m^2 during the day.
That's because the Gulf Stream takes a right hand turn at North Carolina and heads towards the UK instead of continuing to Maine.

Yeah, no kidding. The GMT has a total budget of $700M, JWST's annual budget is almost that much.

Then click the little button that says remind me in 4 hours.

LED's running on AC will fail for the same reason most CFL's fail, the ballast.

How about they fix it on the xbox first. I can't even watch a DVD on the XBOX without a controller for some reason.

Twice, both times it was under 5 hours total time spent.
You can be arrested for inciting panic, ie purely for your words. That is a limit on free speech.
