  2. Close tabs to the right can be achieved by clicking the first tab, shift clicking the last and then control-w (or -w on mac) since I found out about this (from reading the bug report at https://bugs.chromium.org/p/ch...) I'm less upset about the menu items going away.

Everytime I come to slashdot rather than the rss feed I see "Karma: Bad" blazing near my name at the top. All because of my one and only comment on one story, which was on topic and I thought not bad. It made me not want to dig myself deeper and ever comment again.

  9. Did they fix Password storage? on Hacktivismo launches ScatterChat · · Score: 1

I couldn't find any reference in the 'easy to read manual' that said if they've fixed the atrocious password management in GAIM. Storing your passwords in pain text in a file is ridiculous. The gaim folks seems to spend more time defending this decision (they even made a special page about it) that they could have fixed the problem in this time. What's up with an encrypted file and ask you for your password once just like firefox does?

I've also got spam from an address I only gave to amazon. the spam wasn't from amazon its form someone else, but it was TO an address I had only given to amazon. so I changed my address to amazon2@.... and then I started getting spam to that address. So I changed it to amazon3 and I've been getting spam to that address.

someone at amazon is selling customer email address lists

it's a good job gmail's spam filters are so good.

An iPod is also too expensive a gift in most cases, and since you'll probably end up with the cheapest 15GB one, you'll feel shitty if you go out and buy a decent 40GB one a few months later, selling the gift on eBay or something.
I know someone who took their 15Gig iPod (unopened) to the apple store and they let them pay the price difference between that and the 40Gig. here's hoping they didn't engrave it!
