    But just like MP3, JPEG makes it so much easier for people to violate the copyright owners' intellectual property! This algorithm and all the implementations must be locked up just like it was with DeCSS.

    Only the media corporations that provide the content we all love so much have real use for JPEG.

    Why not just mandate installing video cameras looking over the driver's shoulder?

    It's not that uncommon to find in-car cameras in taxis outside the USA. They've been installed for driver's protection as gun permits are not in general issued to people not in the law enforcement business.

    I don't think the black box would report your speeding to the insurance company, but if it did, then of course the companies should jack up your insurance costs. Speed kills.

    I hate trees too.

    Whenever I print something at work, I print it out twice with double spacing. Then I throw away the version that looks worse. Most of the time the look exactly the same, but I discard the second copy anyway.

    That way we can pave the Earth much sooner than planned.

    He was a british born serial killer, who admitted to 17 murders.

    And after he was executed there had been 18 lives lost. That sure helped a lot.

    People like him should be locked up, not put to death. A life sentence is cheaper than an execution, by the way.

    The barbaric death sentence is still in use in the USA and as a result children, retarded people and innocent get put to death. Oh, and let's not forget all the non-Americans that have gotten executed. But hey, that's what you get for breaking the local laws, right? Why shouldn't it apply to Americans or Germans in Saudi Arabia, too?

    I don't know what Bible you're reading but here's the same quote from the New International Version:

    28 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered,

    Looks like your reference has already been "revised" to hide the nasty bits...
