Conisdering this quote came from John McCain, I'd translate it as, "Look, legislation isn't a 100% cure, but we can at least do something that's within our power under the Constitution to minimize the onslaught of spam."
What I never understood is their insistance on referrals. If I have allergies, why must I pay yet another copayment for my general practicioner to tell me something I already know? Are there that many people going to specialists and getting kicked back to a GP to warrant this behavior? Why can you do it with PPOs?
As a final note, the hospital is already liable, because the woman sent patient records to the hospital via email. Unless the email was encrypted and only opened by the doctors giving care to the patients in record, then the hospital is liable.
I agree the hospital should be held liable for not encrypting their email, but they won't. There's no legal standard of encryption to use. Besides, if they're sending it overseas, their encryption options are going to be very limited.
I thought part of the IP6 addresssing scheme was the MAC address of the ethernet card? If so, your ISP would have no choce but to issue to you 2^48 addresses.
It already does this. Yes, you can throttle the upload speed, but in doing so, you also throttle the max download speed. Bittorrent is not leecher friendly. The only ones who have a need to throttle the upload speed are DSL users.
Not exactly. Many Linux enthusiats care more about bashing Microsoft rather than making better software, helping people, and making the world a better place. Just ask some of these people how to copy and paste using the right mouse button and you'll see how "helpful" they are.
The back of the unit looks like it has 2 Scart-interfaces. I guess this is the PAL version? Do they make one with S-Video and/or composite video inputs?
This review had all the quality of an anti-Linux troll, only it was anti-Windows.
You're that hard up for tabbed browsing? Download Mozilla for Windows. You think Linux's "copy and paste" is superior? Losing the copy buffer with a slip of the mouse is not a good idea, IMHO. I'm not even going to comment on his Windows Update troll-baiting.
Any time a user goes from one GUI paradigm to another, there will be pain. If I tried to close a window on a Mac using Alt-F4, I'm going to be in for an unwelcomed surprize. That doesn't mean Macs are inferior, just different.
Lack of similar features, ease of installation and upgrading, basic and advanced user operations, etc. Those are what should go into a proper review.
They have zero information on what kinds of files will be available and what quality they will be. I suppose the 5 tracks for free will discourage most people from continuing the service. Only thing that would worry me is that they already have your credit card number.
I have a free Yahoo mail account and the false positives are non-existent. Well, as soon as I put one of my relatives guilty of forwarding inspirational messages to me onto a white list, there weren't any. A couple of false negative slip through, but those are few and far between. I'm pretty diligent about clicking on the "inform Yahoo this is spam" link.
Does Cygwin OpenSSH have GUI configuration? PuTTY does.
No, but is it really that necessary? I mean, when you're done configuring PuTTY, you end up with a command prompt. If you're uncomforable with working with a command prompt, then you probably won't be using PuTTY in the first place.

...wasn't it? Good luck going to 2.0.

Bite my shiny metal ass!
would be to conenct the remote to the parallel port, instead of the car. WTG, Michael!
Huh? Who would be in violation? It's MS' encryption. They can "break" it if they like. Also, law enforcement is exempt from the DMCA.
You just proved my point.

BSD isn't on the list? You mean the trolls were WRONG?!
Yeah, a battery with a bicycle pump I have to carry around to recharge it every hour. Now that's progress!
Let me guess genius...the pump is powered by the electricity it produces. Finally, a perpetual machine that works!
GABA.
Geez, talk about petty.
So use FDISK. It's still free if you own Windows.

What was it that they were emailing you? Information on viagra?

FileZilla appears to do FTP and SFTP but not SCP. Some web hosting services (such as SourceForge.net) require SCP.
So use Putty or install Cygwin.
You can set up a SSH server for one. Compile code with gcc. In general, a real "Linuxy" feel rather than a few windows ports of unix utils like grep.
