Linux yes. Pirating games no. Sony, Nintendo, and Sega have all used "non-standard" hardware and there has always been a way to pirate games. Let's drop the anti-MS stuff for a second and realize that a games console doesn't need to be a general purpose PC. MS can get more bang for the buck by designing this animal to the spcific application of games only.

Non-linear writing is fine. "Memento" was a great movie that used the technique effectively. "Audition" did not. It was poor filmaking. Perhaps you ought to see a few good movies rather than assuming everything from Japan is gold.

I've seen my share of Anime, and it's not an issue of a "traditional western storyline" that's lacking. Too many storylines in Japanese movies and anime are simply lacking quality. Important details are left out of the story line. There are giant plot holes you could drive a bus through. This applies to live action films, too. Compare "Ringu" and "The Ring." There are so many unexplained occurences in "Ringu" that were developed and explained in the remake. "Audition" is a sick, sick movie, that will stay in your mind for days. However, the writers do a horrible job leading up to the climax. All these flashbacks are too confusing and there are too many scenes that make no damn sense.

The defense given is that this is just "film noir" and is supposed to be hard to follow. Bull. It's poor writing.

RedHat is leaving their desktop customers in the cold. Mind you, we're not talking about new versions of RedHat. We're talking about SUPPORTING older OSes that people use and RELIED on RedHat being there for them. Just like some people who use Windows NT 4.0 still expect MS to keep on supporting their old OS. RedHat is WORSE than Microsoft. That is why you are a biased fool. If you still can't see that, then there's nothing else I an say to make it easier for you to comprehend.

    >RTFA. They're going to stop supporting their DESKTOP line.
    >MS is not a competitor on the desktop since RedHat is leaving that market.

MS isn't a worthy competitor? I guess all those sales of NT 4.0 server, Windows 2000 server, and Windows 2003 server were imaginary. MS may or may not have beat RedHat, but they are certainly a competitor. The reason RedHat is leaving the desktop arena is because they realize they CAN'T do it better than Microsoft. They can't do a better job than the competition, so they're leaving. Exactly my point.
