  1. Re:Time to rebuild the airports on Boeing Blended Wing Body Aircraft · · Score: 1

given that the passenger capacity is twice that of a 747, most airports will have to be redesigned to accomodate the increased passenger load anyways, new jetways are only one small part of the necessary upgrades. Think how much fun customs will be when double the amount of people are offloaded in the same time period as before.

  7. Two Words: Comedy Central on Concerning The Cancellation of Futurama · · Score: 1

I signed the petition, but perhaps what Futurama really needs is a network that will actually give it a chance, instead of giving it a shitty timeslot and pre-empting it at every oppourtunity. The Simpsons did not magically become the longest running, most popular sitcom on TV! It took years of promotion, network support, and character development. Unfortunately though, you can't sell a product that you don't believe in.

why implement TWACS, when you can implement high speed internet over powerlines and have your meters report back over tcp/ip. Of course security is going to be an issue, but that is/will be the case for every node on the network.
