Yes, that's right!!! I keep telling people that, but they insist it's a great movie. How the f___ so? They guessed the storm killed 'em off, not me, my version is that a giant squid took 'em down, or a shark...
That reminds me of the happenings here in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We had a mayor who leaped with both feet into a new state law allowing local option sales taxes. She managed to convince a lot of people that our AAA baseball team (the, er, Kernals...) needed a new multi-million dollar stadium despite the fact that attendance is INCREDIBLY low (most of those are there with free tickets given away by some local sponsor). AND, we also NEEDED a new minor league hockey team (but a place for them to play too...) Our illustrious mayor, bless her ego-maniacal heart, campaigned hard to add a penny tax to every dollar to pay for a bucketful of her pet projects. You could easily trace a line from each of these projects back to the special interest that got her elected. Thankfully the voters took the batteries out of her strap-on and the measure was struck down. But you know what? That clever gal decided the city would "loan" the local interests their money to build their stadiums anyway, despite the voters. Now we have two fiscal failures on our hands. The owners of the Hockey Arena have missed the last few payments on the loan and the Baseball Stadium (which just opened recently) is boasting 500 fans in a 5300 seat venue. It's only a matter of time to them too. Thankfully, the city booted Ms Lee Clancy out on her arse..
I could go on and on... I freakin' hate politicians...
Our web surfing, buzz word concious director threw that hot potato at us once... What a moron. Silly us for even fielding the question...
Now, if you'll pardon me, I'm off to Sears to find a tool that will replace all the others in my shop. I will be the envy of my neighbors...

Now this is the most lucid posting I've read today. For what it's worth, you nailed it well for me...
