  1. Why is this in the science section? on Warp Engines In Development? · · Score: 1

It is a joke, right? Did anyone here ever take a physics class?

  2. Gravity Probe B? on Gravitational Wave Detection Imminent? · · Score: 1

Gravitational Wave Detection Imminent? Well yea, remember Gravity Probe B? Finished collecting data a couple weeks ago after 40+ years in the making? I think /. even mentioned it.

Episode I was the final (I believe) pinball machine manufactured by Midway, as part of the ill-fated Pinball 2000 series, and it was easily the worst of them. Play some newer games man! Stern has made some awesome fields, most notably the Simpsons game which is fantastic.

Too bad it's so hard to find them to play, unless of course you live in Chicago ;)

You realize that the idea of wardialing a pinball machine, first of all makes no sense, and second of all the idea I think you meant wouldn't even be possible anyways. And what does Motorola have to do with anything? BTW, you forgot to mention that this game has force-feedback too ;)

Thank you, m1a1! Please stop talking as though we *know* dark matter/energy exist. Pre-supposing the answer to such a grand question only limits your view, and leads to bad science.

"...has provided new evidence supporting the existence of dark energy, the force causing the acceleration of universal expansion"

I love the oxymoron.. claiming that dark energy 'is' the force causing expansion, just after saying that we are unsure of whether or not it even exists. Keep an open mind, people!

  6. "strange alliance" ? on SCO Calls IBM Countersuit "Unsubstantiated Allegations" · · Score: 1

"In a strange alliance, IBM and the Free Software Foundation have lined up on the same side of this argument in support of the GPL." The folks at SCO are huffing fumes again, aren't they. How is the alliance between the largest commercial supporter of Linux and the creators of the GPL in any way "strange"? baka IBM and the FSF argue in support of the GPL? Thats unpossible.
