I lost my closest freind, who was a super smart guy, 20 odd years ago. He was a defence dept researcher, and brilliant programmer and musician.(How many people get a navy ship to play with for their projects) At only 25 he could not snap out of the life loop he was in. The effects of his actions continue right up to now, for all his friends. Suicide is very common in weapons researchers sadly. It is incredibly sad when we lose someone both brilliant and modest.

I fly in Sailplanes and without a doubt the most difficult skill to master is lookout, the primary collision avoidance method for VFR-it is so easy to focus on instruments. The international gliding movement has introduced a short range collision avoidance system called FLARM, which requires no central servers. Initially designed for use in the Alps, where flying low and fast on the many ridges results in a danger of high speed head on collisions, the system works well enough (3.5km range). The problem is when a lot of aircraft are in a small space, around airfields and where a number of gliders share the same thermal. A lot of work has and still is to be done on the collision avoidance algorythm as too many false positives will have the pilots ignore the warnings eventually. The professional aviation world is introducing a system called ADSB, which relies on a centrailsed server that racks all aircraft. I sonetimes wonder whether the self reliant flarm whist lacking the range and sophistication of ADSB is not a better system, being self reliant?

What a load of rubbish, the US army is far worse terrorists than AQ in terms of number of civlians killed. As for the South American countries you mention, most of them are the way they are as a result of US interference and sponsorship of terrorism, who trained Bin Laden again? Were you even slightly educated you would know. Every heard that its better to be silent and thought to be an idiot than to open your mouth and prove it? The swaying things in your favour line is the funniest in your post, all your high handed meddling in world affairs has acheived is to create many more terrorists, how exactly does that sway things in your favour? The US is no better than the countries you mention. NO go back to watching Fox "News" where you belong! Meanwhile try not to realise that you are now a wholly owned subsidiary of China.

The biggest problem with CNG is the tank, which due to the higher pressure needed in comparison with LPG, needs to be a spere rather than the cylinder with round ends that can be used for LPG. As we have gas piped to our homes we could refill with CNG at home using a small compressor

Ah, the poster rolls out the typical line used by Israelies apologists to try and silence critcism, anti Israel=anti semite. Of course they need some sort of defence to cover the fact that Israeli terrorists kill 3 or more times the Palestian people than palestinians kill Israelies. There is lots of outrage when one Israelie is killed or injured but an odd silence when a Palestinian mother and 4 children are killed. I do not accept that wearing a countries uniform when you kill someone makes you not a terrorist-official govt bombs kill far more people than terrorists. Any country, including my own and the US. If any other country ignored as many UN resolutions as Israel does they would be international pariahs, only the rich US Jewish lobby prevnts this by using their politiacl donations to define US policy in this are. Israel is a terrorist nation from its very foudation, for example the killing of a UN official who tied to stop them ethnically cleansing 8000 arabs from their homes. It is noticable that the poster does not deny being jewish, but simply tries to muddy the answer to avoid such an admission. I dont give a damn what religion Israelies follow, they repeatedly kill innocents and for that they deserve condemnation. They are no better than terrorists. I was a supporter of Israel in the 60's and 70's but have slowlychanged directly due to the actions of Israel over the intervening time.
