    Firstly a dual P4 board (sorry but your board is obsolete) is far more expensive than any dual BX board.

    Secondly the P3s for that board of yours, and the P4s for the board that could compete with the board on test cost many times what the Atlons do.

    Well I do and I'm a professional 3D artist.

    Once you get past a few thousant polys in MAX your GF2MX is left for dead and it's only the CPU that can get your interface to shake off that zombie shuffle.

    Of course that's MAX. Real software isn't so severely unbalanced.

    How would you know, you didn't actually read the article?

    I refuse to believe you could have read that article and somehow completely miss what it was actually about.

    A little education: Your 4 year old octane will still be booting up while the cheap x86 SMP boxes are jsut finishing rendering the first few frames of your animation.

    Go ahead and explain why having a 64 bit ISA in this case provides an advantage of any sort.

    Perhaps you could then explain how a Sun or SGI has more 'power' when it takes ten times as long to render a scene (what the benchmarks are about, read the article).

    I had a real problem subscribing to Salon.

    My self respect kept getting in the way.

    Luckily at the last minute in true ultra predictable holywood movie style a 16 ton weight fell fro the sky crushing my mouse to death and preventing me from joining the elite ranks of failed self fellators such as yourself.

    I was upset.

    So upset I had to fuck your mom a couple of times before I calmed down and I haven't had to do that since about 9 months before you were born.

    The beam is in a spectrum of light invisible to the human eye.
    Reflected light (from dust etc...) will also be invisible.
    Superheating such a thin beam of atmosphere will create a sound something like this;
    "pop!"

    Not really audible over the noise of a tank and certainly no use for a positional fix.

    The real heart of an OS is the distributed ego of all the people who had some part in creating it and who later fight for recognition of their insignificant efforts.

    BomberMan helped make the PCEngine a much sought after item and some of the best versions of it exist on the Genesis and SNES.
