Or just use Chrome, Chromium, RockMelt, or one of the other variants which update themselves without requiring me to do anything except restart my browser once in a while.
In many companies, you will be immediately fired if you install any software whatsoever on your machine. That's what is implied by "Enterprise" here. Only the IT staff is allowed to roll out software on the companies computers -- all the computers are centrally managed as part of the enterprise. And there is a considerable cost for the IT department to test, audit, and finally approve any patches/upgrades/new software, not to mention the cost of deploying it. Oh, and educating the users (yes, some of those people need that). What Mozilla has done is remove support -- such as security patches -- from a widely installed program, and force the enterprise to start all over with a new Firefox. This pisses off the enterprise, and makes them think fondly of Microsoft, which supports Internet Explorer for a very long time.
Thank PETA. If you've ever been stupid enough to support PETA you need to understand they want to ban pet ownership. Yes Ban it. It's one of their top priorities.
PETA collects unwanted pets from owners and immediately kills them in the van they drove up in. This first came to light when someone found PETA illegally dumping lots of dead animals in someone's dumpster.
I rather think the old newspaper clippings with the birth announcement were conclusive evidence because they are dated and lock it firmly to a time when nobody knew it would matter.
You don't think that Obama's mother would care whether or not her son received all the rights of a US citizen? You don't have to think your kid is going to run for President to be concerned enough about that to send in a notice for the local paper to print. And no, they don't fact-check that sort of thing, they just print them. Especially back then. (I've done this before.)
"Rich Mogull, CEO at Securosis: " And some of the pornography sites on the Internet, the dark corners of the Internet have stuff that will hurt a Mac."
It's not my opinion. It's the expert's opinion.
So the expert is saying that by merely visiting a web site, presumably using Safari, your Mac will be "hurt" (infected with a virus?).
Link to sample web site showing proof of concept, please.
In my experience, Mac users are even more irresponsible then clueless Windows users. They think they are magically protected, which means they will ignore obvious signs of infection till the very end.
Can you please elaborate and share your experience of Mac users who were infected by a virus, but ignored it until the "very end"? What was the virus, and what were the symptoms they ignored, and what happened in "the very end"?
You know, soft moaning like you're enjoying the experience, and asking them to do redo particular parts works very well too. It's not a "complaint", but it'll weird them out enough to not want to touch you ever again.
I'm very straight, so it's hard to fake it, but apparently I do well enough.
Mmmm.. oh ya.. right there. do it again.. faster.. oohh... What are you doing after work, I fly back at 10pm..
If you do this, you will be charged with several crimes.
These so-called "zebras" are actually horses. The scientists are being tricked because they are looking at them through COLOR video cameras, which in the natural habitat of the horses pick up vertical distortions from the background and make "stripes" appear on the animals. They are actually barcoding the terrain and vegetation, not the animals.
There was a similar problem with a 1960s television show; if you don't believe me, check Snopes.
...someone did it right. Now somebody needs to go back and digitally alter the original film so that Flynn is entering legitimate Unix commands into the terminal instead of the made up BS they put in there.
Our sun, a nuclear fusion source [...] Why do we keep ignore this most power full energy source?
A CSP plant runs 24 x 7 hours on full power (even when the sun is away because it can store sun heat in molten salt). These CSP plants can easily replace nuclear and coal power plants.
Mainly, because nobody wants to pay to change the GRID to support the energy from the solar plant sites.
I bought a Macbook Pro as a Windows laptop several years ago and it has been a phenomenal computer. But I say that only because I *never* use it without an external keyboard.
1) The keyboard is very small, compared to the size of the laptop Here is why: there are no side air intakes on the Macbook Pro. The air intakes are part of the keyboard, as crazy as that sounds. The keyboard has a 3 inch margin on the left and right side, where the air intakes are. I assume this makes the laptop thinner, at the expense of usability. A classic Apple decision - form over function.
2) Compared to other keyboards of the same size, it is laid out stupidly. - No delete key, but two enter keys. (what???) - Spacers where the pg-up and pg-dn keys should be. - ctrl, alt, and "apple/windows" keys are swapped. - 2 "apple/windows" keys where 1 would be enough. - there is a dedicated "eject" key which wastes a key. - The backspace key is labeled delete (odd but easy to get used to).
Odd, my Macbook Pro is different from yours. It does not have "3 inch margins" on the side of the keyboard -- it has speakers there, which are 1.5 inches. I only have one Enter/Return key.
Your other issues seem to be about using the keyboard for Windows, because they aren't problems when using the Mac OS, which works differently.
(b) If that doesn't work, I recommend bypassing the quantum phase-modulator arrays in the plasma conduits, thereby frequency-limiting the gravimetric fluctuations in the warp nacelles and hopefully inducing a soliton static-warp shield-harmonic attenuation grid over the triassic subresonance field.

I saw foot controls (on one of the Lisp Machines) in 1980. (I doubt that was the first time someone did that, either.)
Nuclear storage must be done in a place which is inherently safe.
While that is the sane approach, the only place within human reach that would meet the criteria would be the surface of the Moon.
I thought the moon was a bad idea since 9.13.1999 ?
I'm currently reading the book Sky Walking by astronaut Tom Jones
Let me guess. He says "It's not unusual to" find ancient sites using space imagery.

I prefer the merciless peppers of Quetzlzacatenango! Grown deep in the jungle primeval by the inmates of a Guatemalan insane asylum.

Just curious, does anyone think that the rapid increase in the rate of the magnetic pole's change could have something to do with this?
It's more likely that it's due to Global Warming.

Flynn SIGKILL'd first.
At this point, there are only 12 comments visible. Why?
See the "neuralizer" thread?
I am surprised and shocked that there are no comments here about the neuralizer from Men In Black.
We were going to comment about the "Flashy Thing", but ...we forgot. Um, what was I saying again?
Faaaaar from new. It was also a key plot point in the 1981 movie "Looker," starring Albert Finney & Susan Dey.
They shine this thing at you, and you can't see anything but Susan Dey? I predict a lot more civil disobedience coming.
TiVo notified me today of the breach.
What did you say, MIT made a roflcopter?

Green Hornet had these drones in the 1960s, and Speed Racer in the 1970s; both launched the drones from their cars.
